Omaze contests are all the rage for celebrities, giving you the chance to win unique prizes, like trips to premieres and show tapings. But a new Star Trek Beyond contest will give you the chance to be in the movie.
The new film, which is the third in J.J. Abrams’ rebooted version of the Trek universe, isn’t the first one to give fans a chance to win a walk-on role. In July 2014, Abrams also gave Star Wars fans a chance to win a role in The Force Awakens in exchange for donations through Omaze.
The minimum donation for the Beyond contest is $10 and proceeds will go to Brave Beginnings, Camp Sunshine, Direct RElief, Heaven Homes, KidsCan, Koreatown Youth & Community Center, Make-A-Wish, Time Is Precious and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. All the charities were nominated by stars in the film, while St. Jude was nominated by Susan Nimoy, Leonard Nimoy’s widow.
Some of the more pricier rewards for entering include a signed concept art piece ($2,500), set props ($10,000 or $15,000), advance pre-screening of the movie ($25,000) and captain’s chair replica ($100,000).
Beyond hits theaters on July 8, 2016. You can make your donation right here.
And here’s the announcement video, which features Idris Elba breakdancing.
