New Girl’s Jake Johnson made a video of himself doing parkour and it went exactly how you would imagine.
In a video released by Funny or Die the actor attempted to put his parkour skills on display.
In the video, Johnson watches an American Eagle Outfitters commercial in which the model is doing parkour. Johnson decides to buy a pair of American Eagle’s jeans and try the sport for himself. Although his friend in the video questioned his motivation behind trying parkour Johnson remained adamant. “It’s a personal journey. Mind over matter. And if that kid from the American Eagle video can do it, then why can’t I,” Johnson asked. Johnson’s friend in the video goes on to point out that the American Eagle video had a trained professional, but records Johnson’s attempt nonetheless.
Before Johnson’s affable go at the sport, he makes sure to send a message to his critics. “To all you PE teachers who laughed at me and called me lazy and fat, who is potentially laughing now?” All of us, that’s who is laughing. Johnson does not quite “nail it,” but at least he had fun.

Johnson is most widely known from his role as Nick Miller on the Fox sitcom New Girl. This summer he offered a bit of comic relief in the box office monster Jurassic World.
