The 2015 contestant from Nevada, Brittany McGowan, had a little trouble Sunday night.
Miss Nevada made the Top 5, but she had some recovering to do throughout the night.
After detaching the long train behind her to show off her slim figure, she stumbled over her own shimmer gown. Although she tripped a little, she stayed upright and turned towards the judges again, smiling as she walked off the stage.
USA Today reported that During the question round, Miss Nevada was facing difficulty as well. Presented by Crystle Stewart, Miss USA in 2008, the question had McGowan struggling.
"What would you do to improve race relations in the U.S.? Please be specific," Stewart asked.
McGowan tried at first. "What I would do to improve race relations in the U.S. is get more races grouped together and be able to be with each other in a non...," McGowan started.
On camera, McGowan looked like she knew she was struggling. "We need to be more accepting of each other and we need to bring people together. That's what I think we need to do," she concluded while smiling nervously.
Regardless, McGowan didn't win the competition. Congratulations to Miss Oklahoma, Olivia Jordan, for being crowned as the new Miss USA.
