Johnny Deep took a break from filming his next Pirates of the Caribbean movie and decided to pop on over to a children’s hospital in his Jack Sparrow costume.
The 52-year-old surprised the Brisbane’s Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital when he made an impromptu decision to stop by, reports ABC Australia.
Throughout the day, Deep talked to the children and took selfies with them. He even gave hugs to several of the kids.
Max Bennet was one of the first kids to see Depp coming. He was having dinner with his mother when he spotted Jack Sparrow entering the hospital.
“He was going from room to room seeing all the kids who couldn’t get out of bed,” said the mom. “We waited out of the front of one of the rooms, and he came up to us and had a really good chat to Max.”
Deep is known to bring his Jack Sparrow costume whenever he travels so that he can make these surprise visits says E! Online
“Sometimes you go to kiddie hospitals and things like that. I’ll just sneak in and go and surprise a bunch of kiddies through different wards…it basically turns into two to three hour improvisation and it’s really fun.”
