Joe Jackson suffers stroke on 87th birthday while in Brazil

Joe Jackson, the patriarch of the Jackson clan, was reportedly hospitalized on his 87th birthday after suffering a stroke.

He was in San Paulo, Brazil on Sunday when he felt symptoms of losing his vision and feeling dizzy. He was admitted to Albert Einstein Hospital, where he remains as of Monday morning.

TMZ reports doctors have been running tests on Jackson and will determine whether or not to fly him back to the U.S. to finish treatment there.

Jackson suffered a mild stroke back in 2012 but he quickly recovered after being treated at a Las Vegas hospital.

On Sunday, Jackson’s daughter, Janet Jackson, took to Twitter to publicly wish her father a Happy Birthday. “Wishing my Father, @Joe5Jackson a Happy Birthday. I want to tell the world, I love and honor you,” she wrote.

On his own Twitter page, several images were posted of Jackson arriving in San Paulo and during his time there.
