Gwyneth Paltrow has hinted at some serious fights she’s had with her ex, Chris Martin, but revealed they’ve stayed united for the sake of their kids; Apple, 11, and Moses, 9.
They have both moved on – Paltrow with Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk and Martin with Jennifer Lawrence – but they’re often seen out with their kids. They have even vacationed together as a family.
“It's been hard, and you know, like, we've gone through really difficult times with it but we've always said these children are our priority,” she said about co-parenting with the Coldplay frontman on Friday at the #BlogHer15 conference in New York, NBC reports.
"What that really means is, 'Even though today, you hate me and you never want to see me again, like, we're going to brunch, 'cause it's Sunday and that's what we'll do!' You know, like, 'That's what's happening!'" she said. "Like, the children are our commitment."
Paltrow went on to call it “imperfect” but something that does get easier over time, saying they’re “really good friends.”
“Everybody does it in their own way," she added. "It's hard and I would never judge anyone for doing it any way.”
Paltrow and Martin finalized their divorce in April after announcing they were “consciously uncoupling” in March 2014 after 11 years of marriage.
