Birdman has denied any involvement in a reported plot to kill Lil Wayne, which he was indicted on along with Young Thug in connection to a shooting in April.
As we previously reported, the indictment was filed in June, which alleges both Young Thug and Birdman were involved in a conspiracy to kill Lil Wayne and it was “carried out” when his tour bus was shot up. The “Glory” rapper was not injured.
The shooter was Jimmy Winfrey, who turned himself in to the police after the shooting. He was kicked out of the same nightclub Lil Wayne attended before shooting up his tour bus and was reportedly in contact with Birdman and Young Thug throughout the night.
However, sources told TMZ he wasn’t necessarily in direct contact with Birdman, because all phones in the Young Money and Cash Money entourage are registered to him. A call was placed to Birdman on a phone also registered in his name by a concerned friend who wanted to inform him about the shooting.
Birdman not only denies involvement in the shooting but he has also offered to help in the investigation to find out who it was.
