In honor of LGBT Pride Month, Google released a video that will inspire everyone.
According to i-D, Google just came out with an ad that features Jake, a transgender person, who posted videos on YouTube that showed his transition from female to male.
“Things were a little bit different for me, compared to my friends,” he admitted. “Growing up, I was never comfortable with they way I looked when I looked in the mirror. I would want to see something masculine, I would want to be able to take off my shirt one day and have all these muscles. Knowing that that wasn't going to happen, I couldn't actually be happy.”
He added, “When the idea of starting to transition was brought about it was like: this is it, this is what I've been waiting for, this is what I need.”
He continues to tell the story about how he needed to find acceptance in a place where the rest of the world did not understand what he was going through. That is until he found City Gym in Kansas City, Miss.
Cnet says that the video shows Jake’s growth as a man while working out at the gym, owned by Hailee Bland Walsh.
Google Business promoted the two-and-a-half minute video that allows Walsh to tell her side of the story saying that her gym attracts a few transgender people and although it was not created to be a haven for any particular group, it allows them to work out together because they feel safe together.
