Aziz Ansari, Jimmy Fallon read hilarious texts between couples on the ‘Tonight Show’

Jimmy Fallon and Aziz Ansari decided to read to the audience texts between two people who just met and the results are cringe-worthy.

Aziz Ansari knows all the up’s and down’s of dating through his work for the book Modern Romance, which he co-wrote with sociologist Eric Klinenberg. The partners worked together for two years to gather information on hundreds of participates to learn about love.

The book focuses on how technological advances, like smart phones, has influenced current relationships. As part of his research, Aziz had to read real-life flirtatious text conversations.

When asked to appear on the Tonight Show, Ansari told Jimmy Fallon about his experience reading these messages. Some of these texts were so funny that Fallon decided to ask viewers to submit their actual first texts on the show.

Fallon named the bit the First Textual Experience, where he and Ansari struggle to read the texts out loud to the audience without laughing hysterically.
