When Miley Cyrus was dating Patrick Schwarzenegger, it was rumored that the Schwarzenegger family did not approve at all. Today, Arnold Schwarzenegger admits his feelings about the relationship on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show.
While Patrick was dating Miley, it seemed that the family was not happy about it at all. Both parents considered her a “negative influence on their son.”
It came to the point where there were reports that Patrick’s parents threatened to cut him off from the money if he continued his relationship with Miley.
As the situation progressed, it became clear that most of the disapproval came from Patrick’s mom. According to E! Online Arnold has a more positive view about Miley.
On the show, Stern questioned Schwarzenegger on his thoughts about Miley Cyrus.
“Under normal circumstances maybe I would be nervous, but I'll tell you the two reasons why not. One is my kids are very strong. They have had their upbringing. They know exactly how far they can go and they should be adventurous, they should venture out and meet different people, so I was not worried about that. The other thing is when I did meet Miley Cyrus, when she came up to Sun Valley skiing during the holidays, I found out that she was a fantastic person," responded Schwarzenegger.
How shocking is that! Schwarzenegger acknowledged that Miley is a little crazier than he is used to, but he says it is part of what she does as a musician.
“She has this career side where she has to be a little bit out there and maybe is a little bit different because she grew up in a music family. So what? It didn’t bother me,” says Schwarzenegger.
