While sitting down with B.J. Novak at BookCon on Saturday, Mindy Kaling talked about what’s going on with the newest season of The Mindy Project.
According to Entertainment Weekly, when the writer and actress sat down with Novak, they discussed their latest project together and even teased what was going to happen to the former Fox hit sitcom.

Earlier this month, the show was cancelled by the network and picked up 26 episodes by Hulu for season four.
Kaling admitted while at BookCon that being on a streaming platform rather than over-the-air network is a huge plus because of the freedom she will now have.
“Matt [Warburton, The Mindy Project executive producer] and I are both smart writers, but also repressed people. We decided we want people who tuned into the show to tune in for two reasons: because we’re doing things we couldn’t do on network TV, but also not giving up what people love,” she said.
She also added that fans can expect the show to “push the envelope” like never before.
It is unclear when Hulu will premiere the new season.
