'General Hospital' weekly recap: May 18 to May 22

In Nina and Franco’s room at The Metro Court, Franco opened the door and found Ric standing there in a tux. Franco refused to believe Nina was marrying Ric, and asked why Ric would marry Nina. Ric said that Nina showed him compassion after the debacle with Elizabeth. He claimed they met at The Floating Rib and began talking, that Nina asked him to help her fight charges of a second kidnapping, one thing led to another and then he proposed. Franco thought Nina was doing this to get back at him, and he promised to never doubt or lie to her again. He told her not to marry someone like Ric, but instead marry him. He talked about how much he cared for her, and how much they had been through together. Then, the justice of the peace arrived and asked Nina which man she was planning to marry. Nina chose Ric, and even though Franco objected, they were married.

At Wyndemere, Elizabeth begged Nikolas to stop Hayden from revealing the truth about Jake/Jason, but he said no. He couldn’t believe nobody had realized who Jake/Jason was yet since he and Jason were so similar and keeping the secret was just delaying the inevitable. The two argued, and Nikolas tried to make her see their gain wasn’t worth the price of the secret they were keeping. Then, Elizabeth’s phone beeps and she realized that she was late for her shift. She left, but not before telling Nikolas that she would never forgive him.

At the garage, Hayden told Jake/Jason and Sam that what she had to say affected them both. Jake/Jason refused to listen to her. As they argued, Shawn arrived outside with his gun drawn. He aimed into the garage and shot. Jake/Jason immediately reacted and protected Sam, but it was Hayden who was hit in the head. Jake/Jason found Shawn outside and he attacked him. Jordan suddenly arrived and pulled her gun and told Shawn to stop. Shawn thought she was a plant for Julian after all. Back inside, Sam called the paramedics as Hayden told her that she wasn’t the only one who knew about Jake/Jason. However, Hayden passed out before she could tell Sam who else knew. The paramedics arrived to tend to Hayden. Meanwhile, more police arrived outside, and Shawn realized that Jordan was working for the cops all along. Jordan said she was sorry and then ordered the officers to arrest Shawn. He asked when she flipped. She told him that she had always been undercover. He couldn’t believe that he ever loved her. She replied that she loved him too and still did, but he didn’t think she knew the meaning of the word. Shawn then told Jordan he had nothing left to say to her and ordered the cops to take him away.

At Sonny’s place, Sonny told Carly that Julian named Jake/Jason as Duke’s killer. Carly refused to believe that and said that Julian was pulling his strings. Sonny said that she couldn’t save her boyfriend, as he had already made the call. Carly warned him that he was about to cross a line with her just like he crossed with Michael. Carly begged him to call off the hit, but he said that wouldn’t and that it was too late since Shawn had left an hour ago. Carly then told Sonny that he was making a hideous mistake and that Jake/Jason wasn’t who he thinks he was.

On the docks, Anna told Carlos to go to hell and then shot him. Sloane arrived shortly after and asked Anna what she had done. Anna told him that she killed Duke’s killer. He then asked if it was self-defense, or if he resisted arrest. She said there wasn’t enough evidence and he would have walked, so she set things right. Sloane then said that Julian ordered the hit on Duke and now he will walk because Carlos, the only witness, was dead. Anna was furious with herself and told Sloane to arrest her since she was just as guilty as Carlos and Julian. She added that he could finally bring her down, which was why he came to town in the first place. Sloane replied that he came to do a job and he refused to arrest her. He understood why she did what she did and said that he could make it go away since nobody else knew what Anna had done. He then told Anna that they needed to get rid of Carlos’ body.

Elizabeth arrived for her shift at GH and worked with Patrick. Suddenly, Jake/Jason and Sam rushed in and informed them about Hayden being shot. Hayden was then brought in, but Patrick wouldn’t let Elizabeth help given her feelings for Hayden. Patrick then took Hayden into the OR while Elizabeth asked what happened. Sam explained that Hayden had claimed to know who Jake/Jason was, but she was shot before she could tell him. Sam hoped Hayden pulled through so she could tell Jake/Jason what she knew.
Back at Wyndemere, a man told Nikolas that it was done, that he shot Hayden and Shawn Butler had gone down for it. He then said that no one would ever know that Nikolas ordered the hit on Hayden.

At GH, Julian discovered his son wasn’t in the NICU, so he questioned Olivia and Ned as to what they had done with him. Olivia cried as Ned told Julian that the baby died of an infection. Julian thought this was another trick and demanded to see the body, but then Obrecht showed up and said that wouldn’t be possible because the baby was cremated by mistake. Obrecht then apologizes as Ned laid into her, but Julian still wanted to see the ashes, so he headed down to the morgue. After he was gone, Obrecht told Ned and Olivia that the baby was healthy and being well cared for at the new location. She then thanked Ned for his donation to GH. Olivia felt guilty over what she was doing to Julian, but Ned said that this was the only way to protect her son.

Meanwhile, Patrick gave Sam, Elizabeth and Jake/Jason an update on Hayden, who was stable. Patrick then told Jake/Jason to stay away from the people he cared about, including Sam, as all he had done was hurt innocent bystanders. Jake/Jason then asked if he could see Hayden. Patrick told him that Hayden was asking for him, so he went in to see her. Elizabeth stormed off as Jake/Jason sat with Hayden and asked what she wanted to tell him.

At the PCPD, Dante learned that Shawn was arrested by Jordan. Shawn used his one phone call to call for help.

At Sonny’s place, Carly told Sonny that he had been wrong about Jake/Jason. Sonny refused to listen to her and before she could tell him the truth, his phone rang.

At Wyndemere, Nikolas’ enforcer told him that Hayden would be dead before long, if she wasn’t already, since it was a headshot. Then, Valerie, looking for a book, walked in on them and apologized for interrupting. Nikolas then sent his employee off and Valerie admitted that she overheard him talking about Hayden being out of the picture. He told her that he was talking with his new head of security about how it was Hayden’s time to go for what she did to Elizabeth. Later, Elizabeth arrived to speak with Nikolas, and in private she told him that Hayden had been shot. Nikolas asked if she was dead. Elizabeth told him no, but before she could tell Jake/Jason anything she seized. She then informed him that Patrick was planning to operate, so there was a chance she may still live to tell Jake/Jason the truth.

At The Metro Court, the justice of the peace pronounced Nina and Ric married. Suddenly, Ric got a call from Shawn asking for his help. Ric quickly called Sonny to tell him that Shawn had been arrested, and he then headed out to deal with the issue. Once he was gone, Franco told Nina that they needed to go find Scott and get her sham marriage annulled. When she refused, he told her that he was wrong about her and that she truly was sick. She replied that he was the sick one and she then kicked him out.

Shawn lashed out at Jordan at the PCPD, claiming she never loved him and just used him. Jordan couldn’t believe he had made this all about himself because he shot an innocent woman while trying to murder another man. They argued when Shawn claimed that TJ may not understand her disloyalty. Then, Jordan let Shawn know that it was Duke who ordered Bruce to kill her and that he only paid for TJ’s tuition out of guilt. She then stormed out of the room, leaving him for Dante to deal with. TJ later arrived and Jordan said that they needed to talk.

Back at Sonny’s, Sonny informed Carly that Shawn had been arrested and that Hayden was shot by accident. The two argued and Carly made Sonny realize that if he moved on Jake/Jason that he would only go back to jail and lose everything. Sonny then agreed to lay low, but said that Jake/Jason would go down one day. He then asked what she wanted to tell him earlier about Jake/Jason that he didn’t know.

Ric arrived at the PCPD to speak with Shawn, and in private he let Shawn know that Sonny wouldn’t rat him out. Shawn already knew that. He then told Ric about Jordan being undercover and that Sonny needed to be warned.

Meanwhile, TJ begged Jordan to ask Sonny to help Shawn, but Jordan said that she couldn’t. Jordan then tells her son that she was an undercover cop and had been since coming to Port Charles. She then explained everything to him and said that she never told him the truth in order to protect him. TJ was furious that she lied to him and he didn’t understand how the only person she was able to nail was Shawn, the man who took care of him. Jordan then told TJ that she thought she could shield Shawn because she loved him. TJ doubted she understood love and said that she was nothing but a liar. He then told her that he wanted nothing from her and walked off.

Ric arrived at Sonny’s before Carly could tell him the truth about Jake/Jason. He warned Sonny that the case looks bad for both Shawn and for Sonny since Jordan was undercover the entire time.

Back at GH, Hayden was rushed into surgery as Sam tried to assure Jake/Jason that this wasn’t his fault. Jake/Jason then said that right now his future was in Patrick’s hands.

Sabrina was watching the news at her apartment for information on Carlos. Michael arrived for their date, which she had forgotten about. She invited him in and explained what was going on with Carlos and how Anna went after him, but there had been no word on his arrest. She felt something wasn’t right. Michael suggested they order in some food and watch the news together. She didn’t think this was the date he had in mind, but he was happy just to have her in his life and spend time with her.

At the pier, Sloane and Anna got rid of Carlos’ body and then washed the blood off the docks. Sloane then took her gun and assured her that nobody would know what they did. Suddenly, Elizabeth walked onto the pier, but she didn’t catch on to what has happened. She told Anna how sorry she was about Duke and she wasn’t sure if she should attend his funeral due to her relationship with Jake/Jason. Elizabeth then started rambling about Jake/Jason being innocent and how people were trying to kill him. Sloane and Anna were out of the loop, so she filled them in on Shawn trying to shoot Jake/Jason. Sloane then made some calls to get the whole story while Elizabeth told Anna again how sorry she was about Duke. She then headed off. Sloane filled Anna in about how Jake/Jason now looked guilty, that Jordan’s cover had been blown and Anna knew it was all her fault. She thanked him for what he did for her, and she said that she didn’t know how she could ever repay him.

Morgan dropped by Silas’s place to see Kiki. He wondered why she was ignoring him lately. She said it she was because she had a lot on her mind, but he accused her of acting shady with him. Kiki then admitted that she was angry at him over what happened with Avery and his stupid plan to drug Michael. The two ended up in a shouting match and hurling insults at one another, but eventually their fighting turned to passion and they kissed.

Dante arrived at the hospital to check on Olivia and asked how his new little brother was. Olivia told Dante that his new brother was gone and that it happened very fast. Dante then comforted his mother, but then she said that she couldn’t do this. She then whispered to him that everything was fine, but he thought she was still in shock. Olivia then told him the truth about what she and Ned did to hide the baby from Julian. Olivia admitted that she felt bad about the pain she was causing Julian and that she knew she was putting Dante in a bad position. Then, she realized what she was doing was illegal, but asked him to have her back on this.

Meanwhile, Sam and Jake/Jason waited news on Hayden. Jake/Jason hoped she pulls through, not just for herself, but also so she could tell him who he was. Sam tried to keep him focused on talking in order to keep his mind off of what was going on in the OR. They chit chatted about various things until Sam remembered that he was about to tell her why he was taking the wrap for Duke’s murder when Hayden interrupted them. She didn’t understand why he wouldn’t let himself be exonerated in Duke’s death. As they talked, Patrick came out of the OR and found them together. Then, Elizabeth returned and Patrick gave them all the news that Hayden was alive, but a complication during surgery had left her in a coma that she may not come out of. Sam then told Jake/Jason that she was sorry because now he may never know the truth about who he was.

Julian returned home and immediately pulled out his gun when he heard a sound, which turned out to be Alexis. Alexis was trying to slip in and pick up some of her things while he wasn’t here. Then, Julian told her about the baby dying. She asked if he was positive this wasn’t another trick of Ned and Olivia's, but Julian informed her about Obrecht confirming the death and the accidental cremation. Alexis then said that this was a lawsuit waiting to be won, but Julian said that it wouldn’t bring his son back and he had enough money. Julian then showed her his son’s baby bracelet, which was the only thing he had left of his son. She thought she should go, but he asked her not to leave.

Jake/Jason and Elizabeth walked to her place. They felt bad about Hayden going into a coma. He recalled that she said someone else knew his true identity and hoped they would come forward. Elizabeth then bit her lip. Jake/Jason then said that he didn’t even know if he wanted to know who he really was. She reminded him that he wanted to let that go so they could be happy together. "No, we can't," he said. He then explained to her the deal he had made with Sloane. Jake/Jason then told Elizabeth that he cared about her too much to put her at risk, that he would tell Sloane that he was done tomorrow and take the consequences. "We have tonight," he said. She then stared over at a photo of Jason and then led him upstairs.

Sam gave Patrick a shoulder rub in his bedroom. He beat himself up about Hayden going into a coma and then headed for the shower. When he came out, they talked about the recent shootings. Then, they argued about Jake/Jason's innocence. Patrick then said that he just wanted to protect the life they had started together.

Julian asked Alexis not to leave his penthouse because he couldn't be alone right now. She told him that he needed to feel the loss of his son and that she couldn't listen to him talk about this after he had Duke killed. "I'm done with organized crime," he promised. She didn’t believe it, but he insisted. He then told her that he needed her to show him how to grieve. Julian then swore on his son that he was leaving the mob. Alexis then cried and fell into his arms.

Sloane and Anna went to his hotel room. He started drinking since it had been a long day for everyone. "How can someone just go?" she wondered. Anna felt like she was now the kind of person she had always set out to destroy. They then worried about the cover up. She criticized him for putting Jake/Jason in harm's way and then explained that she needed to take responsibility for killing Carlos. He didn’t want her to go to prison. Anna appreciated what he had done for her, but she didn’t want Jake/Jason to get killed for what she did. She then added that she wasn’t afraid of prison and that without Duke, she didn’t care what happened to her. Sloane then assured her that she could find happiness again. She then cried over Carlos. Lying down on the couch, she explained that she saw Duke every time she closed her eyes. "Then you'll have sweet dreams tonight," he said, covering her with a blanket.

Michael was at Sabrina's. She ordered them food and they watched the news. He suggested that Carlos must have escaped. After they ate, she thanked him for everything. He replied that he liked getting to know her better. Then, they kissed, but he backed off when things got passionate. Michael thought they needed to do things right and take it slow. She then thanked him for distracting her.

At Silas', Morgan ranted about Michael to Kiki and accused her of always looking for someone who didn’t think she was good enough. Then, they made out and he carried her into her room. After they had sex, he told her how much better it was when they had been fighting. They then apologized to each other and discussed their relationship status. He wanted them to get back together. She didn’t want to ruin their friendship. Moments later, she agreed to give him another shot.

Jake/Jason showed up at Sloane's. Sloane said that what happened to Hayden was too bad, but they now had the opening they had been waiting for. "I quit," Jake/Jason replied. Sloane thought that was ridiculous and explained that Julian tried to save him, so he was in the perfect position to stop this mob war, but Jake/Jason refused, even if it meant he was going to prison.

Meanwhile, in her hotel room, Anna had a nightmare about Carlos. He taunted her for killing him and having a guilty conscience. "You killed me because you wanted to," he sneered, telling her that Julian was the one to blame. She woke up screaming. Then, Sabrina dropped by. She wanted to know what happened to Carlos. Then, his ghost returned to mock Anna. She claimed that she found Carlos, but then trailed off. As he loomed over her, she lied to Sabrina and claimed that Carlos knocked her out and ran. Sabrina then apologized for bringing Carlos to Port Charles. Once she left, Carlos’ ghost told Anna how much he was going to enjoy watching her cover up his murder. She then clung to a photo of Duke.

Jordan flashed back to being in bed with Shawn. She kept thinking about her husband Tommy. He felt terrible about them cheating on him too. "If you want it to stop, you have to be the one to walk away," he challenged her. Then, she snapped out of it. Scott then met her at the court house and thanked her for handing him Shawn. Jordan wanted a deal for Shawn and claimed that she could get him to give up Sonny.

Downstairs, Shawn sat in his cell, recalling how Jordan betrayed him. Then, TJ arrived for a visit. He always figured this might happen, but never thought his mother would be the one to put Shawn behind bars. He then ranted about her until Shawn stopped him and said that it wasn’t cool. Then, they argued. TJ then said that he didn’t know how he could ever look her in the eye again. Then, Jordan arrived. TJ wouldn't talk to her and left. Jordan then told Shawn that she had gotten him a deal with Scott if he would testify that Sonny ordered him to kill Jake/Jason. She begged him to take it, but he refused. She then begged him to do it for TJ. As they argued, she blurted out, "You are his father!"

Back upstairs, Sloane met with Scott, who told him about the deal they were offering Shawn. That sounded good to Sloane. He then asked for charges against a Jerome associate.

Alexis was with Julian at his penthouse. He talked about how some things don't work out. She promised to stay by his side as he left the mob. Then, Lucas showed up with balloons. "Congratulations!" he bellowed. He babbled until Alexis stopped him. They filled him in about what happened with the baby. He then took the balloons away, told his father he was sorry for his loss and then they hugged.

Morgan and Kiki woke up in her bed. They had sex and hoped that things would work out better between them this time. She still had the necklace he gave her. Then, Lucas called to tell her about the baby. She got dressed to go over. Morgan offered to go with her, for her sake.

Sam and Patrick were in bed. She wondered how her baby brother and Julian were. Then, Lucas called to inform her that the baby was dead. Sam told Patrick and then blamed herself for Olivia's early labor. They then got dressed and she worried that her father might be lashing out the way she did when she lost her baby. He offered to go with her to go see him, but she insisted on doing it alone. Patrick then told her that he loved her and she said that she loved him too.

Sam, Kiki, Morgan, Lucas and Alexis all gathered around Julian at the penthouse. They refused to leave him alone. He thanked them and said that this was what he needed today. He then announced that he was giving up organized crime. Suddenly, what appeared to be a disguised Ava arrived.

Jake/Jason went to Elizabeth’s. No one was around. He then stared at a photo of her with Jason.
