On this episode of the The Red Road, the Lenape are on the brink of major change in the penultimate episode of the season. The theme of the season for the past four episodes is money. The Lenape are poor and they are also dying from cancer due to toxic waste. So the Native Americans are still adjusting to the death of Mac and Harold is adjusting to being captain. The Lenape are also contemplating building a casino to solve their money woes.

The show is turning more and more into a mob drama. Junior’s father Levi is the big bad, chief of the Algonquian and the person responsible for killing Mac. Everyone at this point will know that. By the end of the season that will become apparent. Junior and Kopus will team up. The show tries to keep Harold and Kopus away from each other but the two are the heroes of the show. For narrative progression they are needed to solve Mac’s murder and they will. They team up to try and find Junior who escaped his father’s goons after a failed assassination.

This was a great episode. The finale should be explosive. The Red Road airs on Sundance.
