Lane Bryant's new #ImNoAngel campaign targets Victoria's Secret

Retailer Lane Bryant has launched a new social media campaign that has definitely worked. The #ImNoAngel campaign has helped women accept who they are and has trended on Facebook and Twitter.

The campaign takes aim at Victoria’s Secret, whose models are known as “Angels.” But Lane Bryant, which focuses on plus-size fashion, is proving that Victoria’s Secret models aren’t the only women who are sexy. The brand is encouraging customers to “share your sexy,” with selfies and the hashtag “#ImNoAngel.”

As The Huffington Post notes, the photoshoot for the campaign features models Ashley Graham, Candice Huffine, Marquita Pring and others. They are seen wearing bras from the new Cacique collection.

If Lane Bryant wanted the hashtag to go viral, it certainly worked. Women posted their pictures and comments on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and the media picked up on it.

“This campaign is something everyone can relate to,” Lane Bryant CEO Linda Heasley told ABC News. “It is very much about making beauty and sexy approachable and embraceable.”
