Emma stared out the window of her house and waited for Sam’s arrival. Then, Spencer showed up to visit Emma, and she told him that she was happy that he was back in town. He remained worried about his face, but she replied that she liked him no matter what he looked like. Spencer then gave Emma the ring he found as a present, but she asked where it came from. He replied where he found it, and Emma recognized the name on the ring and told Spencer that he was a friend of her mom’s. Spencer then asked Emma to take the ring as a token that they were each other’s one true loves, but Emma told Spencer that she couldn’t take the ring since it wasn’t his. Spencer thought Emma’s refusal to take the ring meant that she still had feelings for Cameron. He also thought she would rather be with that pretty “townie” instead of a freak like him and he then he threw the ring. Spencer then refused to stay and headed home. Later, Patrick sat Emma down and assured her that she didn’t do anything wrong and she and Spencer were too young to be talking about being anyone’s one true love. As they talked the camera panned to Alan’s ring under the couch.
Sam arrived at Julian’s garage to have her car looked at and found Jake/Jason looking at a bike. The two then talked about Jake/Jason’s wife Hayden, and he even showed her his wedding ring. She wondered if this was the one ring he mentioned before his surgery. She then told him that she originally thought maybe he was speaking of her wedding ring and then she explained the whole history of her and Jason’s rings and how Jason’s was lost with his body. Jake/Jason then got back to why she came and he said that he didn’t want her waiting around while he looked at her car, so he offered to drive her home. She told him that she was moving in with Patrick, so he offered to drop her off at his place. He thought it would be a good excuse to take the bike he had been working on for a spin. Sam then got a flash of Jason and his bike as the two then took off on it.
Kiki and Morgan met up in the lobby of The Metro Court in order to put their plan to push Michael over the edge into play. Morgan called a reporter to tip him off on ELQ’s troubles and then they headed to the restaurant. In the restaurant, Michael was sneezing and frustrated when Sabrina arrived with Avery, which calmed him down a bit. Michael told Sabrina that he was working to battle the takeover of ELQ and believed the Cassadines were behind it. Suddenly, they were interrupted by a reporter who was writing a story on Michael losing a third of ELQ. Michael wondered how the press had learned of the information and then told him that he had no comment. The reporter left and Morgan and Kiki arrived. The three then bickered as Michael wanted them to stay away from him and Avery. Kiki replied that it was a public place and that she and Morgan were celebrating getting back together. This hit Michael hard and he ordered a scotch as he watched Morgan and Kiki flirting with each other at their own table.
Elsewhere, Ric and Hayden headed to Hayden’s room where she ordered a giant victory meal as a celebration. Hayden then felt a little frisky and suggested to Ric that they have sex. He then asked if it was possible she had the wrong man as Jake/Jason would have had a different face. Elizabeth then told him about all the proof Hayden had, but Nikolas didn’t buy it. Elizabeth wondered why this bothered him so much. Nikolas covered by saying that he was trying to keep his mind off Spencer’s problems. He then asked where he could find Hayden. Elizabeth told him that Hayden and Jake/Jason were staying at The Metro Court so Nikolas decided to pay her a visit.
Back at Patrick’s, Sam finally arrived and Emma was happy to see her. Emma then ran off to get a bag as she was spending the night with Mac and Felicia. Patrick then asked Sam if she had her car fixed, but she replied that Jake/Jason gave her a ride.
Jake/Jason returned to the garage and smiled when he thought about Sam and the bike.
Back at The Metro Court, Hayden was celebrating alone in her room after Ric left. Then, Nikolas knocked on her door and she asked who he was. He, in turn, asked her the same thing. Nikolas then confronted her about Jake/Jason not being her husband. She threatened to call the cops so he threatened to tell them she was a fraud. Nikolas wondered if Helena was bankrolling her. "You got me," she said. He then replied this needed to stop because it would only ruin things. She then stopped him from calling Helena and admitted that she was bluffing.
Kiki and Morgan spied on Michael and Sabrina in The Metro Court restaurant. They then started making out to encourage Michael to drink more, which seemed to work. Sabrina urged him to stop and told him how high school all of this was. He then pretended that their public display of affection wasn't upsetting him. Sabrina then left with the baby and he kept drinking. Morgan and Kiki continued sucking face until Michael stormed over. As he started to yell at them, someone recorded the whole altercation. Michael then took a swing at Morgan, missed and hit the floor. He then stumbled away and Morgan sent the reporter after him. Kiki worried that they might have gone too far, but Morgan insisted that it would all pan out.

Ric assured him that Jake/Jason wouldn't be sticking around for long. When Sabrina passed by, Sonny stopped her so he could see the baby. She tried to get away, but he fawned over the child. Then, Michael stumbled in and started shouting for Sonny to get away from the baby.
Valerie stomped into the hospital and demanded to know where Luke was. She explained that he was her uncle and that he killed her mom. Elizabeth wouldn’t let her in to see him. Then, Dante popped up. Valerie told him that she wanted vengeance. Dante then took her away and assured her that Luke would be taken care of and that she needed to mourn her loss. She then broke down into tears. Dante then encouraged her to find justice in her heart.
Down the hall, Luke woke up and found himself bound to the bed with Tracy and Lulu by his side. He remembered everything he did. Tracy then explained that Patricia was dead. He blamed himself and told them that he had been running away for years whenever the dark side of his personality started coming out. He thought that the electroshock finally made him lose control and worried that the dark part of him would never go away. Tracy then left to get him a lawyer. Lulu then assured Luke that she loved him and then left him to rest. Moments later, Valerie barged in.
Meanwhile, Ric dropped by the nurses' station to see Elizabeth. He wondered if she was going to give him another chance now that Jake/Jason was out of the picture.
Jake/Jason showed up at the garage and told Julian that he just drove Sam home. Julian wondered how Hayden would feel about Jake/Jason driving women around. Then, Carlos strolled in. He thought they should cut “Chacho” loose, Julian insisted on keeping Jake/Jason around and told him how helpful he had been. Carlos still didn't want him around. They then send Jake/Jason away and argued. Julian then yelled at Carlos0for hijacking a Corinthos shipment. He apologized for overstepping. They then discussed a hit as Jake/Jason eavesdropped, who then called Sloane.
Patrick was a bit off with Sam after Jake/Jason dropped her off at his place. He admitted that he was worried to see her with someone as potentially dangerous as Jake/Jason. She assured him that he had nothing to worry about. They then made out and he carried her to the bedroom.
Kiki and Morgan sat in the restaurant at The Metro Court. Kiki felt guilty about what they did to Michael, which prompted Morgan to ask if she still had feelings for him. Kiki denied that she did, but still felt what they had done was wrong. Morgan replied that their kisses felt right to him and he wondered if they could have a future together.
Down in the lobby, a drunk and drugged Michael found Sonny with Avery and freaks out. Sonny realized that something was wrong with Michael and he thought he was drunk. As he and Michael argued, the reporter filmed their altercation, which escalated and led to Michael stumbling and knocking over Avery’s stroller. Sonny then rushed to his daughter, who was okay. Sonny was then furious with Michael and asked what had gotten into him. Michael ignored Sonny’s concerns so Sonny finally walked away from him. Then, Michael and Sabrina left with Avery and Olivia saw them out to make sure they got home safely. Meanwhile, the reporter returned to the restaurant to show Morgan and Kiki the footage. Kiki was furious with Morgan since their sister could have been hurt. Morgan replied that she was fine and now no judge would let Michael keep Avery. Then, Sonny and Olivia arrived and questioned Morgan and Kiki to see if they knew why Michael got so plastered. They replied that he was drinking when they came in and that it didn’t help seeing them together. Olivia then decided to go find which employee over-served Michael. Morgan told Sonny that he was worried about Michael and Avery.
In Hayden’s room, Hayden and Nikolas argued about what the other knew about Jake/Jason. He wanted to know who hired her and she realizes Nikolas didn’t want Jake/Jason’s true identity to come out. The conversation eventually turned physical and the two had sex. Afterwards, she suggested they both keep their own secrets until they could hook up again.
At the garage, Jake/Jason’s call to Sloane about Julian planning a hit was interrupted by Carly, who asked him for details on what was happening, but Jake/Jason refused to talk about it with her. She wanted to know if Sonny was in danger and she told him that she expected him to warn her if he heard anything. He replied that he would and that she needed to go before they were caught talking. She then said that she had to tell him about the investigation she had started on his wife first. Jake/Jason was upset to learn about Carly hiring Spinelli, but Carly replied that she knew that Hayden was lying and wanted to prove it.
At GH, Ric begged Elizabeth to give him another chance. Elizabeth told him not to make her regret this and agreed to give them another shot.
In another area of the hospital, Dante and Lulu discussed what to do with Valerie. Lulu suggested they take her home to their loft since she was family. Meanwhile, Valerie confronted Luke in his room and wanted him to pay for what he did to Patricia. Valerie then brandished a scalpel and cried over the loss of her mother, who was the only family she had. Luke replied that he understood that this was his fault and he told her to go ahead and kill him. Then, Dante and Lulu walked in as she held the scalpel to Luke’s throat. Lulu begged Valerie not to kill him, but Luke told Lulu that he wanted her to because he refused to be like his father. Dante then talked Valerie down, telling her not to throw her life away and not to give Luke the easy way out. He then added that her mother wouldn’t have wanted this for her that she loved Luke and that everything she did was to protect him. Valerie then dropped the scalpel and Dante took her out of the room. Meanwhile, Lulu scolded her father for wanting to give up when they just got him back. Luke replied that he felt he had nothing to live for and why should he work to get better only to spend his life in prison. Out in the hall, Valerie apologized to Dante for what she did, she thanked him for stopping her and then broke down in tears as he consoled her.
Michael and Sabrina returned to the Quartermaine mansion, where Sabrina put Avery to bed and brought Michael some aspirin. Michael told her that this behavior wasn’t like him, and that he felt terrible. Then, he realized that Sonny could use what happened to get Avery back. Sabrina replied that he needed to go to bed and get rest since there wasn’t anything he could do now about what happened. Michael then apologized to her for what happened and then headed to bed. Before he went, he grabbed his bottle of allergy pills.
Carly and Jake/Jason returned to The Metro Court. Jake/Jason said goodnight to her and headed up to Hayden’s room. Nikolas passed by Carly as he was leaving. She looked at his disheveled clothes and joked if he was here for business or pleasure. He said business, but she didn't believe him. Meanwhile Jake walked into Hayden’s room and found her naked in bed.
Nina and Franco celebrated the benefits of blackmail in their room at The Metro Court. They then turned on the TV and see an "Access Port Charles" news report about Michael and how he had lost 32 percent of ELQ to an unknown investor. The report also detailed the scene at The Metro Court between Sonny and Michael, which resulted in Avery’s carriage accident. Franco got pleasure out of watching the news clip, but Nina was concerned for little “Jamie.” Franco worried that she didn’t understand that the baby wasn’t hers, which upset her. She then said that she didn’t find the report funny. He then apologized and said that he would try and watch his sense of humor in the future. The two then kissed, but Nina put the breaks on to slow things down. She then said that wasn’t ready to make love yet, so Franco agreed to take it as slow as she wanted.
Down in the bar, Olivia and Carly watched the news segment and Carly was furious. Olivia assured her that Avery was fine and she was sure that Michael was sober by now. Then, Carly left to take care of her family.
Ned watched the news broadcast at the Quartermaine mansion and was furious with Michael. He told him that this report would damage ELQ and he decided to go to The Metro Court and have some blanks filled in by Olivia since Michael told him that he had no idea how the reporter got the information about the 32 percent being lost. Then, Sabrina showed up and Michael still didn’t understand how he had gotten so drunk off of two drinks. Sabrina wondered if his allergy medicine worsened his symptoms, but Michael said it had never affected him like this before. She started to wonder about his pills.
At Sonny’s place, Sonny found Morgan watching the report. Morgan told Sonny that it indicated that Michael was a danger to Avery, so they had to call child protective services. Then, Carly walked in and shouted, "Over my dead body!" Carly explained that Michael needed their help right now, but Morgan said he was acting just like his father (AJ.) Sonny agreed with Morgan. He then asked Carly to stand by him, but Carly replied that she wouldn’t turn her back on Michael and told Sonny to do what he needed to do.
In Ava’s hospital room in New York, Ava was stunned by the report. Then, Silas entered the room, she filled him in on what had happened and asked him to go check on Avery for her. When he said he shouldn’t leave her, she added that she couldn’t let go and die until she knew Avery was safe. She also wanted him to promise to help her die once he returned from Port Charles. Silas eventually promised to do it, though it went against everything he believed in.
At Julian’s place, Alexis and Julian saw the report and Alexis sprung into action to protect her client (Michael.) Later, Kiki arrived to speak with Julian about Michael. As they talked, Alexis got dressed and headed out to check on Michael. Kiki told Julian that she wanted to take Michael to court, but Julian wondered if what happened was really Michael’s fault. He then reminded Kiki that she claimed to have a foolproof plan to help them prove Michael was unfit so she admitted she and Morgan did this, but she didn’t mean for Avery to get hurt. Julian replied that he didn’t know she had such deviousness in her and added that her mother would be proud of her. Later, Morgan called Kiki and told her that Sonny had called child protective services (CPS) and a decision could be made any minute who would now have custody of Avery.
Back at The Metro Court, Ned met with Olivia to find out what happened with Michael. Olivia said that Michael was only served two drinks, so she didn’t know how he had gotten so drunk. She then finally told him that they were blackmailing her about the baby and she explained how Franco found out the truth. Ned was furious and refused to let Franco do this to her so he heads up to Franco and Nina’s room and demanded to talk to Franco. After Ned left, Julian appeared and asked Olivia what “Saint Ned” was doing for her now.

Alexis arrived at the Quartermaine mansion as Sabrina was examining Michael’s allergy medication. Alexis warned Michael to prepare himself since he could lose custody of Avery due to what happened at The Metro Court. Later, a woman from CPS arrived to take Avery. Morgan and Kiki were there to rub it in. The woman explained that they had to have Avery checked over at the hospital before Kiki could take her home. Once they all left, Michael yelled at Alexis about how he was the only one who could protect Avery. He and Sabrina then told Alexis about his pills and how little he actually drank. Then, Alexis left to check it out.

Down the hall, Silas snuck in to grab the necessary meds for Ava. Meanwhile, Nina walked into the hospital looking for Silas. She was informed that he was out of town, but when she turned around, she bumped into him. She then went on about all of the wavering feelings she had toward him. She then added that she was sane enough now to apologize. He replied that he was glad that she was moving on. Before he could leave, Kiki and Morgan strolled in with the woman from CPS. Nina stared at Avery. She then paid her condolences to Kiki about Ava, who then warned her to stay away from Avery. After Nina said that Ava was a home-wrecker, Kiki attacked her, but Nathan got between them. Kiki then got threatening so Nathan sent her away. Once Kiki was gone, Nina updated Nathan about life with Franco. He didn't approve.
Down the hall, Silas offered to give Avery a check-up. When he was left alone with her, he took a picture for Ava to show her that her daughter was okay. Later, he checked in with Kiki. She asked him about his situation in the city. He was vague, but she still told him what a great parent he was. While they waited for results on Avery's tests, Nina loomed in the hall. Moments later, someone snuck into the room where Avery had been left alone.
Spinelli and Maxie were at her place. "Access Port Charles" came on and they saw Avery's tumble. They then awkwardly talked around their feelings. He pushed her to tell him if she really loved him. Maxie then finally admitted that her feelings for him weren’t just because of Georgie and that she loved him, but that re-opening that door scared her. "I think we should get back together," she said. Then, they kissed. Spinelli was beyond happy and then went to check on Georgie. Then, Nathan arrived at the door telling Maxie that he wanted another shot with her.
At The Metro Court, Julian quizzed Olivia about why Franco was staying there. He then questioned her about the baby and wondered if Franco had been threatening it. She insisted that he wasn’t and that this had nothing to do with him. Julian then offered to help deal with Franco in ways that Ned couldn't. she replied that if she were looking for someone to make cement shoes, she would call Sonny.
Meanwhile, up in his hotel room, Franco noticed that Nina was gone. Then, Ned appeared at his door and announced that they were enemies. Ned then ordered him to halt his blackmail of Olivia. Franco replied by threatening to call Julian. Then, they bickered for a bit until Franco finally said that he would leave Olivia alone and bleed Ned dry instead. He then added that wanted all of Ned's shares in ELQ in exchange for his silence about Olivia’s real baby daddy. "Ha!" laughed Ned in response, but Franco was serious and gave him 24 hours to comply. Ned then headed downstairs and assured Olivia that he had taken care of things.
