Nathan headed into Kelly’s for a quick food break and ran into Ellie, who spilled a shake on him. He told her not to worry as he lived upstairs and can get a new shirt. When he striped to a tank top she was mesmerized by his muscles. They soon realized who the other was and Nathan blamed Ellie for both of them losing the ones they love. He said that she put the idea in Spinelli’s head that he still had feelings for Maxie and that sent him here. Ellie blamed Nathan since he was the one who gave up on Maxie and dumped her, freeing her to be with Spinelli. Then, they argued, and both realized they had both made terrible mistakes and missed their chances with the ones they love.
At her place, Maxie was having a glass of wine when Lulu and Rocco showed up. Lulu needed to escape from Valerie, and she ranted to Maxie about her cousin, who rubbed her the wrong way. Maxie in turn ranted to Lulu about her issues with Nathan and Spinelli, and how she ended up with Spinelli after Nathan dumped her. However now Nathan wanted her back and that Ellie was back in town and seemed to still have feelings for Spinelli. Lulu asked if Nathan had shown up five minutes earlier, would she have still chosen Spinelli. Maxie admitted that being with Spinelli was always what she thought she wanted and that Nathan breaking up with her did make it easier for her to choose him. Lulu thought maybe Maxie was making the choice she thought would hurt less people, but Maxie replied that she was happy with Spinelli and Georgie. Lulu then realized that she needed to go home and show her husband some love by making him a nice dinner.
Dante returned home to find Valerie packing her things. She told him that she was leaving Port Charles and she explained how Lulu found her with Rocco earlier and she flipped out and left. Valerie then added that she didn’t want to cause issues for Lulu or her family. She thanked Dante for being so kind to her, but he told her not to leave. Then, they talked and Valerie admitted that she didn’t want to leave the family she just found, so he suggested that she stick around and get to know them better. She agreed and she thanked him by making him some dinner before he has to get back to looking for Avery. He told her it was great and she became emotional, as it was her mom who taught her how to cook. Dante gave her a hug to comfort her just as Lulu walked in holding Rocco.
At The Metro Court, Carly found Ric and Elizabeth were back together and had come for a dinner date. She then began to realize that Ric may be behind Hayden coming to town. Carly exclaimed, “It was you,” and was about to blow Ric out of the water when Spinelli arrived and pulled her away. Spinelli said that he had found out who was paying Hayden, but Carly thought she had too and that it was Ric. Spinelli told her that he just saw another man with Hayden and heard them talking about doing business. He then showed Carly the photo he took of them, but the man’s face wasn’t in clear view. Carly then told Spinelli to track this guy down and find out who he was.
Meanwhile, Ric and Elizabeth enjoyed their date, but Elizabeth wondered why Carly got upset and was blaming him for something. Ric said that he didn’t know and said maybe it was global warming. Carly returned to check on them and Elizabeth asked her what she was accusing Ric of earlier.
At Wyndermere, Nikolas found that Jason’s ring was missing and panicked. Spencer then stormed in proclaiming that his life was over and he told Nikolas how he couldn’t bear to go to public school looking so hideous. Nikolas tried to ease his fears by saying how he was afraid of not fitting in at a public school when his Uncle Stefan made him go. Spencer then lamented about Emma turning him away over his scar, but Nikolas thought that something else must have caused her to reject him. Spencer explained that he had asked Emma to be with him forever and always, but that she said no and wouldn’t accept his ring. Nikolas asked what ring and he found out that Spencer took the ring from the safe. Nikolas then asked where it was and Spencer explained that it was somewhere at Emma’s place as he lost his temper and threw it across the room. Nikolas was furious and said they would discuss his unacceptable behavior after he returned from dealing with this.
At Patrick’s place, Jake/Jason found the ring under the couch. They all looked at it and Sam realized it was Jason’s missing wedding ring. She wondered how it got under the couch, but Patrick didn’t know. Then, Emma came home from school and explained that it was the ring that Spencer had tried to give it to her. Emma had forgotten about the ring and apologized. She then went to visit with Danny. Sam decided to try and go get answers from Nikolas, but as she opened the door to leave she found Nikolas standing there.
Spinelli returned to Maxie’s place and found her cooking a meal for them. He was excited and went to take care of Georgie, who was crying. Over the baby monitor Maxie heard him talking to their daughter about how he had always wished for a family like this. The look on her face wasn’t very joyous. Later, Maxie and Spinelli debated their daughter's future. Then, he noticed that he had a message from Lucy. She asked him to perform at The Nurses’ Ball with Ellie. That created some awkwardness since Maxie hadn't been updating people about their getting back together. He then worried that Lucy would try to cajole him into perform at the ball with his ex. When he suggested doing Magic Milo again, she pointed out that he would be stripping with Nathan. He then nixed the idea. The topic then turned to his investigation of Hayden. She suggested he recruit Sam for help.
At Kelly's, Ellie told Nathan that she had enjoyed commiserating with him. She then spoke about moving on from her place in Georgie's life. Lucy then wandered in and starts demanding that she take part in the ball. She didn't take news of the Ellie and Spinelli’s breakup well and cursed the Fates. She then encouraged Ellie and Nathan get together... or at least become friends. They agreed to try so Lucy suggested they walk down the red carpet together. Nathan thought that was a great idea. Ellie objected, but Lucy wouldn't listen and scurried out. Nathan thought they could make their exes jealous by going together. They then shook hands on it.
As Dante comforted Valerie, Lulu walked in and cleared her throat. She noticed that Valerie had been cooking for him. Valerie then explained how upset she had been since her mom died, but Lulu was cold. Then, Dante explained that he asked Valerie to stay. Lulu replied that she wanted her to stay in town, just not with them. Valerie didn't have any money so Lulu suggested that she live with Nikolas. She thought he needed some company.
At Patrick's, Jake/Jason filled Sam and Patrick in about Nikolas paying all of his bills. They then discussed Spencer having the ring and Sam decided to question Nikolas. Before they could head to Wyndemere, they found Nikolas on the porch. They asked him how Spencer got the ring. "He got it from me," admitted Nikolas, who added that he got it from Helena and then forgot about it after Spencer's emergency. He then apologized. Jake/Jason thanked him for all of his help and Nikolas left. Patrick drove Jake/Jason home. When he got back, Sam told him that the ring was proof that Jason was dead. She then added that she felt like she now had closure and could be happy that they were starting a new life together.
At The Metro Court, Elizabeth wanted to know what Carly had been accusing Ric of. Then, Hayden wandered in, spotted them and tried to escape, but Carly dragged her over and asked if she had met Ric before. Hayden claimed that she had not and started talking about getting intimate with Jake/Jason. Carly replied that Jake/Jason said otherwise. They then bickered as Ric cringed and Elizabeth pursed her lips. Hayden then stomped off. Elizabeth wondered what all the lying was about. Ric smoothed things over. Then, Jake/Jason came in wanting a drink. He stared at the couple. Carly assured him that he would get another shot at Elizabeth. Jake/Jason told her that she wasn’t helping, that he was tired and went up to bed. Still, Carly vowed to get the truth to him after she found it out.
At Wyndemere, Nikolas took a drink and then smashed it. Then, Hayden strolled in and complained about her evening. "Are you lonesome tonight?" she asked. She then dropped her coat to reveal she was wearing lingerie. They then stripped down and hit the floor.
At Jordan’s place, Shawn and Jordan basked in the afterglow of their lovemaking. Later, Shawn made her breakfast in bed and proclaimed his love for her. She had no idea how to respond. Shawn then added that he had loved her for years, but saying it and acting on his feelings was always a problem as something was always between them, be it her husband or their work. She replied that she loved him too and she had loved him from the moment she laid eyes on him. The two then made a date for The Nurses’ Ball, which would be their new beginning.
At The Metro Court, Anna left a message for Jordan about the hit Duke was orchestrating and suggested they meet. She then ran into Duke and asked to talk, but a call from Sloane interrupted them. Sloane told Anna that he had nothing new to report on the hit, but there was something she should know about Duke.
At Julian’s garage, Carlos met with Julian, who asked him why Duke was alive still. Carlos replied that he always had his bodyguard Bruce with him. Julian then told Carlos that if he couldn’t get close enough then make the hit from afar. Julian then said that with the change in the weather, Duke had been taking his breakfast on the terrace, so Carlos could use another room at the hotel to take Duke out. Carlos laughed that they wouldn’t rent a room to him, but Julian said that Jake/Jason was fortunately already staying there and to use his room.
Spinelli ran into Jake/Jason outside of Kelly’s. Jake/Jason was glad they ran into one another and he asked him and Carly to back off investigating Hayden. Jake/Jason then headed off. Spinelli went inside Kelly’s and met with Sam to discuss his case. Spinelli told her that Carly hired him to find out whether Hayden was legitimate, and that Jake/Jason wasn’t happy about it. Sam asked if he thought Carly was right and Spinelli admitted that she may be. Sam wondered what proof he had so he filled her in on what he knew and showed her the photo he took of the mystery man. He was hoping she could find any clues in it given his poor photography skills cut the man’s face out. She noticed he was wearing a class ring, which would allow them to identify his school and graduation year. Spinelli searched through old yearbook photos online and finally identified the man as Pete Ross.
Back at The Metro Court, Jake/Jason returned to his room and found Sloane there. He wasn’t happy that Sloane broke into his room. Sloane wanted him to find out who Julian was planning a hit on and the two argued. Sloane then threatened to send Jake/Jason back to jail if he didn’t cooperate, which sets Jake/Jason off. Jake/Jason then claimed that he could tell Julian the truth about working for Sloane and let Julian deal with Sloane, but Sloane doubted he would do that.
Back in the bar, Duke talked to Lucy on the phone and said that he went to see Anna like she advised, only to find Sloane in her room and in only a bathrobe. He then told her to get back to rehearsal for the ball then talks with his bodyguard about Jordan’s fate. Duke expressed reservations about killing a mother and the woman Shawn loved, but knew it must be done. He told Bruce that he wanted it taken care of today. He also wanted this to be a message to the Jeromes too, but that Shawn could never find out that Jordan was undercover. Then, Bruce left and Shawn sat down and asked Duke what that was all about and why was without protection.
Meanwhile, Carlos broke into Jake/Jason’s room after Jake/Jason and Sloane left. He unzipped a bag and pulled out a rifle.
Anna arrived at Patrick’s to drop off a check for Girl Scout cookies for Emma, but Emma was with Lucy dealing with Nurses’ Ball stuff. Patrick and Anna caught up and discussed each other’s romantic lives. Their talk was cut short when Anna got a call from Jordan about meeting up, so she told Patrick that she needed to run.
Jake/Jason went to the garage and met with Julian. He said that he had something to tell him.
Sonny showed up to see Michael at ELQ. Sonny wanted Michael to look him in the eyes and tell him if he had anything to do with Avery’s kidnapping. The two then bickered, but Michael swore that he didn’t have a hand in AJ’s kidnapping.
At GH, Sabrina met with Felix, who said that the lab had been backed up and hadn’t run the tests on Michael’s pills yet. He also said a package arrived for Carlos from Julian at their apartment that morning. He gave it to her and left. Sabrina worried about Carlos and gave him a call.
At Kiki’s place, Kiki admitted to Morgan that she told Julian about what they did to Michael. Morgan wasn’t happy, but Kiki said that her uncle wasn’t going to rat them out. Kiki also thought they needed to get the pills back and she had found out that Michael was at ELQ right now. She said all they needed to do was to create a distraction and she could sneak into his office and get the pills.
At the garage, Jake/Jason told Julian that he knew Julian was planning a hit because he overheard him and Carlos discussing it. Jake/Jason then said that he wanted to be honest with him and he had no issue with the other side of the business. He then offered to help with the hit and tried to get Julian to give him a name. However, Julian felt obligated to protect him as he promised Sam not to expose him to the seedy side of his business, but he appreciated Jake/Jason’s loyalty. Julian then headed out and Jake/Jason got a call from Sloane.
Carly met with Spinelli at The Metro Court and learned about Pete, who she realized was the man in Hayden’s fake wedding photo. She then told Spinelli that they needed to get that photo.
Meanwhile, Carlos took aim at Duke, who was having his tea on the terrace. Duke sat with Shawn, who told Duke that he and Jordan had taken things to the next level. Then, TJ showed up to see Shawn about problems paying his tuition. TJ said that he didn’t want to go to his mom for money, so Duke offered to pay his tuition. TJ was thrilled and thanked Duke. Back in Jake/Jason’s room, Carlos was distracted when Sabrina called. She was worried about him getting into trouble again when he just made parole, but he told her not to be. At the same time, Carly and Spinelli bickered outside the room about whether breaking in was a good idea. Carly felt nobody would know they were there and they entered the room. Carlos was nowhere to be found so they grabbed the photo and headed out. Carlos then came out of the bathroom where he was hiding and took aim at Duke again, but TJ kept getting in the way of a clear shot.
Back in the bar, Spinelli asked Carly what she would do with the information on Pete and Hayden. She replied that she planned to tell Jake/Jason first before going to the authorities.
Anna and Jordan met on the docks, where Jordan told Anna that she wanted out. Jordan said that she didn’t want to be the one to put Shawn in jail. The two argued, unaware that Duke’s bodyguard Bruce was there and had his gun aimed at Jordan. Anna warned Jordan that they had no evidence on Duke still, so if Jordan walked then the only person who would go down was Shawn for the election tampering. Jordan felt she was in an impossible situation. Anna then revealed that the Jeromes were planning a hit on someone high up in the Corinthos organization, possibly Duke, but they weren’t sure. Jordan said it could be anyone, including Shawn or herself.
Back at GH, Felix returned to Sabrina with the results on the pills after he had persuaded Brad to run the tests. He said that Sabrina was right and that Michael had been drugged.
Sabrina then went to ELQ, where Sonny and Michael were still arguing about Avery. She revealed that Michael wasn’t drunk the night of the stroller incident and she shows them the toxicology report on his allergy pills. Michael realized he had been drugged on purpose and he knew who did it. Kiki and Morgan walked in just as Michael said that the people who drugged him were at The Metro Court that day and pushing him to drink.
Silas strolled into GH and found Nathan moping. Nathan asked SILAS about his patient in New York. "She died," Silas replied. Nathan then assured Silas that he was off the suspects list for Avery’s kidnapping.
In Michael's office at ELQ, Sonny swore that he didn't drug him. Michael then said that he knew who did it. Morgan and Kiki then got off the elevator. Michael confronted them. Morgan refused to take the blame and asked Sonny if he believed it. Michael then explained how he had pieced everything together. As the brothers bickered, Michael shoved Morgan and the meds fell out of his pocket. Sonny then demanded the truth and Kiki admitted it. Morgan then told Sonny that he did it all for him. Sonny wasn’t impressed and lectured Morgan for putting Avery in danger. Michael then accused Morgan of kidnapping their sister. Kiki apologized and left with Morgan. Sonny told Michael that the only thing that matters now was that Avery was okay. He then wandered out. Sabrina put an arm around Michael. He thanked her for all of her help and said that he didn't know how his little brother went so wrong. Sabrina suggested that he was jealous. Michael thought that he and Sonny had a new understanding. He was sure that Morgan and Kiki had Avery all along.
When Morgan and Kiki walked into Silas' apartment, they discovered that Avery was there.
Down on the pier, Anna pushed Jordan out of the way as someone took a shot at her. Jordan twisted her ankle. The women then squeezed off a few rounds, but the shooter escaped. Anna then gave Jordan a cover story after calling Sloane.
Carlos was at Jake/Jason's window taking aim at Duke on The Metro Court terrace. Shawn and TJ told Duke what a great guy he was. Before he could take the shot, Hayden walked in and interrupted. She wanted to call the police, but he explained that he worked with her husband. Hayden demanded to know how he got in. He tried to cover, but she didn't buy it and interrogated him about his giant gun. Carlos then packed up and left.
Down on the terrace, Jordan hobbled over to Shawn, TJ and Duke.TJ told her his big news, but she was disoriented. Once TJ ran off, she filled her boss in on the hit gone wrong. She assumed it was the Jeromes. Meanwhile, the shooter loomed in the distance. Shawn took Jordan off for a drink and the shooter came out of the corner to told Duke how things went wrong. Duke was livid when he learned that he took a shot while Anna was present.
Jake/Jason paced around the garage assuring Sloane over the phone that he still didn't know who Jerome's target was. Frustrated, he started throwing things around. Carly walked in and wondered what was up. He asked her to stay out of it. She then said that she had information about his so-called wife, but he was too busy for this, but she wouldn't go away. Then, Anna walked in, demanding to know where Julian was. They sent Carly out. Anna questioned him about the shooting. He said that he was in the garage the whole time. She was sure that if he was the shooter, he wouldn't have missed. Anna then questioned him about the upcoming hit. He pleaded ignorance. When her badgering got nowhere, she left. Then, Carlos came in. Jake/Jason walked out before his colleague could fill him in about bumping into Hayden.
Anna returned to the pier and found a button.
Jake/Jason arrived at his wife's hotel room. She told him about what happened.
Downstairs, Sonny walked into the bar and told Carly about the blow up at ELQ.
