Peter Berg already has Mark Wahlberg and Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) by his side for his newest movie, Deepwater Horizon, but his list keeps growing. According to new reports, Dylan O'Brien and Kurt Russell also joined the movie in supporting roles.
O'Brien's involvement comes from Deadline, while Variety got the Russell news. Specifically, O'Brien plays Caleb Holloway, the youngest crew member during the 2010 BP Gulf of Mexico oil spill where 11 people were lost. There's no word on who Russell plays.
While J.C. Chandor (All is Lost) was originally to direct Deepwater Horizon), Peter Berg replaced him back in January. Production starts later this year, with a September 30, 2016 release set.
Russell recently was seen in Furious 7, and soon stars in Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight. O'Brien, meanwhile, has Maze Runner: The Scorch Trails soon to be released.
