The crew is in panic after Wi-Fi is down on numerous flights mid-air. Each flight has a certain passenger who has shut off the Wi-Fi and all came from Miami International airport. They go to Krummitz to find the names and seat numbers of the passengers involved.
Ryan, Nelson and Mundo head to MIA while other passengers who are believed to be involved are arrested worldwide, however, those being arrested are seemingly unaware of what's going on. One of those arrested, Willa, is a 16-year-old who was arrested. Ryan tries to find out what is going on.
Nelson and Mundo run diagnostics on the servers and find that Willa's phone blocked any other from connecting to the Wi-Fi.
Ryan finds that all of those arrested have no idea what's going on. At the airport, she sees chaos erupting with other passengers on Willa's fight and find that the wi-fi error was a credit card hacking. After seeing the codes used, Krumitz knows the hacker is L0m1s, and he's just getting started.
L0m1s, a hacker legend, is well known in the hacking community and has never been caught. Krumitz flies to Miami to help catch L0m1s. Out of his ordinary targets, they question why L0m1s is targeting cell phones, stealing identities and information.
Colin shows up in Simon's office to show his disappointment in Simon's lack of informing him on grounding MIA's flights. He tells Simon to keep him in the loop at all times from now on.
Krumitz finds that all of the victim's cell hones were connected to the same device at one point, an hour before their flights. They go on a search to find where the victims connected to. Mundo points out a cell phone charging station involved in juice jacking, meaning while victims charged their phones, they were being hacked.
Krumitz has everyone unplug their phone so he can find the source of the hacking while Nelson removes any hacking scripts from their phones.
Ryan clears out an area of the airport and is unable to wake one of the women sitting, discovering that she is dead.
The victim, Rachel, a grad student, was a credit card sales representative. Her cause of death was blunt force trauma. Nelson goes to Ryan and Mundo with a message on one of the victim's phones, a blackmail message telling the user to pay him or information on her infidelity would be released. Yan sends Nelson back to D.C. to track credit inquiries.
Ryan speaks to Chelsea about being blackmailed and hacked. She is being threatened to have her personal information released.
In D.C., a senator is also a victim of blackmail after also charging her phone at the airport. Simon questions the senator on what she has on her phone that she's afraid to go public and she explains that it will ruin her career.
Rachel was distracted by a sick woman while the charging station was hacked. The sick woman was a distraction and was working with two other men, but the video is too grainy. Ryan figures out that they had to go through security and discover the x-rays of the hacker's bag. Krumitz find a wizard hat, a symbol of a specific hacking group and are responsible for the juice jacking.
Nelson tracks the credit purchases and finds an odd purchase for a circuit board. Mundo is suspicious of how easily that was but Krumitz believes they're desperate. After raiding the home where the purchase was made, Mundo gets into a chase and eventually catches the three people living there, but Krumitz is upset to see that L0m1s isn't there.
The woman who pretended to be sick as a distraction admits that Rachel's death was an accident. She was knocked out and the two men helped get Rachel's body to where she was discovered. They explain that they're afraid of L0m1s ruining their reputation online. They also say L0m1s set them up to take the blame.
Krumitz finds that L0m1s is on to him. He tries to rebuild destroyed cell phones that the three victims blended, to see if he can find any information leading to L0m1s. He eventually finds a serial number but that turns out to be untraceable. Mundo sees that Krumitz is upset and consoles him with a story about his difficult time with a suspect, but he did eventually catch him, and that gives Krumitz hope.
Mundo reveals that L0m1s has released some of the sensitive information of the victims before their deadline to pay. Krumitz comes in and tells everyone that he figured out who L0m1s is. He managed to get the exact time that L0m1s connected to the charging station in person and got the camera footage, revealing who L0m1s really is, Willa.
Ryan and Krumitz go to Willa's father who denies that Willa had anything to do with it. When she gets home, Krumitz arrested her.
They explain her story about how she managed to hack everyone and asked why she did it. Willa explained that she was bored and did the hacking simply because she could.
Simon and Colin have drinks and speak about the information that was released and how they're shocked with Willa being the suspect. They also talk about Simon being upset that he didn't get the promotion, but now he is okay with things because the position proves to be pretty tough.
Krumitz received a postcard from L0m1s, who was released because she is only 16. Ryan knows that he hacked L0m1s' computer and snapped a photo of her, breaking the law. She is upset with him, letting him know that if L0m1s was a 35-year-old man, then he would've been able to walk because of Krumitz. However, she tells him that she isn't going to turn him in, but tells him that she won't protect him if he does this again.
