Trailer Park- 3/13 Edition: ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Run All Night’ hope to run to the top of the box office

The new releases hitting theaters this week feature Oscar nominated and winning actors and actresses. Ethan Hawke and Ed Harris each showcase their acting skills in two new films. Cate Blanchett plays the villain in a revamped Disney classic.

A young servant catches the eye of a prince in Cinderella. Despite being mistreated by her evil stepmother and step sisters, the young woman finds her chance at happiness when she meets a man in the woods. With the help of her fairy godmother and some magic, she gets her chance to meet him again at the Palace Ball. The PG family drama is directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett, Stellan Skarsgård, Lily James and Richard Madden. It plays for one hour and forty-five minutes.

A mobster discovers that his estranged son is in the cross-hairs of the crime family in Run All Night. Within one night, he must figure out if he has allegiance to his best friend and crime boss or to the son he barely knows. Liam Neeson, Nick Nolte, Ed Harris and Vincent D'Onofrio star in the one hour and fifty-four minute action film. It’s rated R for violence, language, sex and drugs.

A down on his luck shoe repairman finds new hope through the lives of his customers in The Cobbler. After finding a magical artifact, he discovers that whenever he steps in another person shoes, he actually becomes them. The PG-13 comedic drama stars Adam Sandler, Ellen Barkin, Dustin Hoffman, Steve Buscemi and Method Man. It’s playing in limited theaters for one hour and thirty-eight minutes.

A young man has the ability to tell whether or not a person is going to heaven or hell in Walter. He spends his days as a movie ticket taker judging where each person ends up, but his life is turned upside down after meeting a mysterious man and falling for a coworker. The limited released comedy plays for one hour and thirty-four minutes. The unrated film stars Justin Kirk, William H. Macy, Neve Campbell, Virginia Madsen, Milo Ventimiglia, Jim Gaffigan and Peter Facinelli.

When a married man impregnates his coworker, his wife is determined to get her out of the picture in Home Sweet Hell. Looking to keep their family life seemingly perfect, she goes to great lengths, including murder, to keep their troubles secret. The one hour and thirty-eight minute comedic drama stars Patrick Wilson, Katherine Heigl, Jordana Brewster and James Belushi. The limited released film is rated R for violence, language, sex and drugs.

An ancient ring has the power to bring people together in The Lovers. After a marine archeologist finds a ring in a shipwreck, he is transported back in time to a previous life and love. Josh Hartnett stars in the limited released sci-fi romantic drama. The one hour and forty-five minute film is rated R for violence and language.

A teenage girl gets something worse than a STD after sleeping with her boyfriend in It Follows. Something evil stalks her and terrorizes her life. The only way to rid herself of it is to pass it on to someone else. The horror film is running in limited theaters for one hour and forty minutes. It’s rated R for violence, sex, nudity and language.

Evil terrorizes a group of friends in Muck. After going through an ancient burial ground, their lives are threatened. The unrated, limited released horror film runs for one hour and thirty minutes.

It’s cops versus bikers in the limited released film, Cymbeline. The one hour and thirty-seven minute drama is based on Shakespeare’s play of the same name. Anton Yelchin, Ed Harris, Ethan Hawke, John Leguizamo, Milla Jovovich, Penn Badgley and Dakota Johnson star in the high energy film. It’s rated R for violence.

The documentary Seymour: An Introduction tells the story of an aspiring concert pianist who struggled with stage fright and gave up his career to become a music instructor. Now in his 80’s, Seymour Bernstein shares his wisdom in this limited released film. The PG, one hour and twenty-one minute biopic is directed by Ethan Hawke.

The musicians behind many hit songs are showcased in The Wrecking Crew. The little-known group played the beats and melody in numerous Grammy-award winning songs in the 1960’s and 1970’s. The PG documentary is directed by Denny Tedesco, the son of The Wrecking Crew guitarist, Tommy Tedesco. The film is playing in limited theaters for one hour and forty-one minutes.

A young man is plagued by a rare fish odor throughout his life in Treading Water. He accepts the fact that he is going to live a lonely life because of his condition, but soon finds happiness when he meets a young woman who doesn’t seem to notice his smell. The unrated, romantic comedy is playing in limited theaters for one hour and thirty-one minutes.

Humans and robots coexist in the limited released film, Eva. In the sci-fi drama, a young man returns to his hometown to create a revolutionary child robot that can think and feel, getting inspiration from his niece. The PG-13 film is playing in limited theaters for one hour and thirty-four minutes.

The business and dark side behind the sport of boxing is shown in Champs. Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and Bernard Hopkins reminisce on their careers in the one hour and twenty-five minute sports documentary. The unrated film also features commentary from Mark Wahlberg, Denzel Washington, Ron Howard, Spike Lee, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent. It’s available in limited theaters.

Four overweight kids struggle to lose weight in Bite Size. The one hour and thirty minute documentary highlights childhood obesity through a variety of races. It shows the importance of an active lifestyle. The unrated film is available in limited theaters.

A man discovers that his new wife has a connection to a previous romantic encounter in 3 Hearts. In the limited released romantic drama, the man learns that his lost love is his wife’s sister. The PG-13 French film is subtitled in English. It plays for one hour and forty-six minutes.

The adventures continue next week with the release of The Divergent Series: Indulgent. Films starring are Jake Gyllenhaal, Sean Penn and Al Pacino are also debuting on March 20.
