Last week on The Haves and the Have Nots, Candace finds out that Amanda committed suicide, Hanna apologizes to Candace for what her boyfriend did to her when she was young and Jeffrey and Quincy get into a fight after Jeffrey refuses to tell him where Candace is.
Jeffrey begs Quincy to stop hitting him. Quincy tells him that his mom, Veronica, sent him there to beat him up. Jeffrey eventually gives Quincy the password to his cell phone, but Quincy doesn't find anything that tells him where Candace is. Jeffrey tells him that she's at the hotel and Quincy tells Jeffrey that he's coming with him.
Jeffrey manages to hit Quincy on the way out and locks him outside of his apartment, but Quincy has his phone and tells him that he will wait for him.
Benny asks Hanna about the boyfriend who molested Candace. Hanna tells him that she really did go right to the police, but Candace doesn't believe her. Benny tells Hanna that he does believe her and that Candace has gone straight, but Hanna still has doubts. They then talk about Hanna and Candace taking Michael to court. She tells him that Michael wanted to take him off life support, but doesn't say anything about him wanting a kidney.
They get home and find Katheryn waiting on their porch. They invite her inside and she and Hanna talk. Katheryn reveals to Hanna that Veronica is not her friend. She then asks Hanna for help with funeral arrangements for Amanda.
David shows up at the hotel and meets with Maggie. She asks to talk about what happened between them, but David tells her that they should forget it even happened. He goes to talk to Candace and tells her that she should not go to see Jim. Candace tries to change the subject by bringing up Maggie and flirting with him, but David denies her advances and tells her that he will get back at her in a much smarter way than Jim. However, Candace just laughs it off.
Katheryn gets home and Jim tells her that she was right about Amanda. He apologizes for all of the terrible things he's done and tells her that his greed got in the way. He talks about when he got to hold Amanda for the first time at the hospital and is upset that he'll never get to hold her again.
Katheryn shuts Jim down and tells him that when she was in labor, he was with Celine. She tells him to stop with the pity party because he always resorts to this but goes back to the way he is.
Jeffrey is cleaning his wounds and clenching his ribs. He looks out of the window and through his doors peephole, but doesn't find Quincy. He opens the door and there's no Quincy in sight.
The next morning, Maggie goes to David and tells him that she has a plan to deal with Candace. He laughs her off and tells her that he has a plan of his own, but won't tell Maggie what it is. She tells him that she's going to talk to Candace anyway and leaves.
Hanna is about to leave for work but Benny stops her and tells her to take the car. She admits that she's uncomfortable with how he got the car and asks if Candace was involved. He denies it and calls the woman on his phone to prove it to her. He tells her again that Candace is going straight and Hanna tells him that people who hustle will always hustle because that's all they know how to do. She gives in and decides to take the car to work instead of the bus.
Maggie goes to Candace's room and asks her what she wants. She tells Candace that she knows a lot of people and can get her anything. She gives Candace her card and is about to leave, but Candace stops her and asks if she knows anyone at a law firm she is trying to get a job with as an attorney. Maggie agrees to help only if she doesn't go to see Jim and Candace accepts the deal.
Maggie tells David since he knows several people at that law firm. He tells Maggie that he will help, but only because he wants to see what Candace is up to.
Wyatt wakes up from a nightmare and goes into Amanda's room. He calls D.A. Jennifer and asks her to come over so he can make a confession. She agrees to come by after she is through with court.
Next Week, Quincy breaks down Jeffrey's door, Candace tries to warn David about Veronica, Katheryn yells at Celine who still showed up to work, and Hanna screams at Jim, calling him a demon.
