Two big name stars have been confirmed as guests for season two of Fox's surprise hit Empire.
Series co-creator Lee Daniels told Access Hollywood that he's writing roles for Oprah Winfrey and Common for the next season of the show.
"Yes. Yeah. She's gonna be on it," Daniels told Access of Oprah, and "Oh yeah, for sure. For absolutely sure. We're gonna have a good time," he said of Common.
Daniels has expressed interest in the past for having Winfrey make an appearance on the show while Common has publicly stated that he would like to be a part as well. Daniels and Winfrey previously worked together when she starred in his 2013 film The Butler. The former talk show host and Common were also part of the cast for the Oscar-winning film Selma.
Empire centers around a hip-hop and entertainment company and the drama between the founding family. Series co-founder
Danny Strong recently revealed that the show's protagonist, Lucious Lyon, is loosely inspired by hip-hop mogul Jay Z.
Empire will wrap up its first season with a two hour season finale on Wednesday night.
