Must Watch Videos–Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, Luke Bryan–March 9, 2015

Monday’s are often hard. Everyone has been enjoying the weekend but come Monday morning once that alarm goes off, the workweek kicks in. This week features a variety of artists that have recently topped the charts including a brand new music video from Ariana Grande and Kendrick Lamar. Lamar is ready to released his second album by the end of March. Taking the top two spots this week are two pop superstars, Carly Rae Jepsen and Nick Jonas. This list even includes the one and only Tom Hanks.

10. Kendrick Lamar- i

Kendrick Lamar is preparing to release his sophomore album on March 23rd and is proving a sneak peak to fans by releasing the music video for “i.” “I” shows off the aggression and power that Lamar is going to be packing with this album. He clearly doesn’t want to fall curse to having an unsuccessful second album.

9. Ariana Grande-One Last Time

Ariana Grande is currently on tour in the United States on “The Honeymoon Tour” and is proving why she is one of the biggest pop stars currently on the charts. She has a similar style to that of a young Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera. She has incredible vocal range and personality, all of which can be seen and heard during the music video for “One Last Time.”

8. Hozier-Someone New

Hozier latest music video features Hunger Games: Mockingjay and Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer. Dormer steals the show with this music video and makes out with a variety of men during the video. It’s one to watch.

7. Colt Ford ft. Jake Owen-Back

Colt Ford, a.k.a. James Farris Brown is an upcoming country musician and singer songwriter. Ford is stretching his musical legs and putting himself in the spotlight with “Back” instead of writing hit songs for other country artists. His style is more rock infused rap with country compared to just straight country, but it is a refreshing voice in a crowded genre.

6. Luke Bryan-Spring Breakdown

Luke Bryan has gotten into the habit of releasing a Spring Break album and this year is no different. He is slowly releasing singles off of his latest album and “Spring Breakdown” has just received the video treatment.

5. Nickelback-She Keeps Me Up

Nickelback is known for their pop rock sounds that all sound similar. The band is back to prove that they aren’t going to change what isn’t topping the chart and have released the music video for “She Keeps Me Up.” For Nickelback fans, they will love this, for those of us who wish to see Nickelback evolve and try to progress their musical sound, we better keep waiting.

Angels & Airwaves features Tom DeLonge from Blink-182 and keyboardist Ilan Rubin; the band has just released the music video for “Tunnels” and is still making music despite Blink-182 being featured in the headlines recently.

3. Cody Simpson-New Problems

Cody Simpson is out to prove that he can be a creditable threat in the pop music industry, which is constantly changing and evolving. He does have a powerful vocal range and writes singles that are not only lyrically catchy but melody wise as well. This is a song to check out for fans of pop music and Simpson himself.

2. Carly Rae Jepsen-I Really Like You

When Carly Rae Jepsen topped the charts with “Call Me Maybe” one question had to be asked. How could that single be topped? Well Jepsen is trying with her most recent single, “I Really Like You” and adding Tom Hanks to the music video doesn’t hurt her mission. Hanks is one of the most likeable actors ever and takes this music video to the next level.

1. Nick Jonas-Chains

Nick Jonas is breaking away from being a member of the Jonas Brothers and is fully focusing on his solo career. He has released the music video for “Chains” and is impressing with his soul inspired sound. Jonas is
