'CSI: Cyber' recap: 'CMND:/Crash'

Last week on CSI: Cyber, we're introduced to Ryan Avery and her team of FBI agents who's specific job is to solve computer and electronic related crimes including hacking. Using their skills, as well as accepting a new member to their team, Brody Nelson, they were able to stop a kidnapping auction ring and save three infants and reunite them with their families.

This week, a carnival coaster is involved in a crash.

Brody's car alarm goes off and he rushes outside to make sure it's there but finds Ryan at his car. She hacked his car alarm system. She also reminds him that communicating with criminals will terminate their agreement and only gives him a warning for the girl upstairs who's under house arrest.

They get the coaster case. Elijah, who is struggling with the terms of his divorce and seeing his daughter, gathers with the team to view videos of the coaster crash which killed one person, put four people in the ICU and injured 20 others. One of the videos they see is a woman being proposed to after riding the coaster, unable to get off in time and dies. They head to Virginia to view the crime scene.

Ryan finds out that two of the four victims in the ICU have died. A man named Alex shows up at the crime scene to find the wedding ring.

Daniel and Brody shows up to the crime scene and argue a little, but Brody tells Daniel that they'll become friends some day. According to the diagnostics, Daniel finds that the coasters computer states that there was never a crash or any type of problem at all. Brody believes that someone may have hacked it from home but Daniel reveals that the job had to be done there because there was no wi-fi.

Ryan and Elijah find numerous employee access cards trying to enter the room. The hacker stole their card information to try and get in. They also find that a park engineer who was fired two months ago tried his card five times, and that employee was Alex.

Ryan questions Alex and he tells her that he never entered the park after he got fired until the day of the crash to propose to his girlfriend at the same place they met. Ryan believes he is innocent.

Daniel finds a bluetooth radio in a hidden panel in the computers board. He believes the hacker had to have been 60 feet from the board to access it through their cell phone. Ryan reveals that the hacker is a voyeur who "gets off" on gore and will strike again.

They find blood on the hidden panel but their identity is blocked by the FBI, so Simon tries to get the identity. However, it is a dead end. Ronnie Sloan is a man who built the panel and sold it to someone else, so he knows nothing about the crash or the person who he made the panel for.

Ryan asks Brody to hack a "gore porn" site to try and find out who is involved in the crash. He creates a fake user name and is accepted by the administrator. He finds out that a guy named Otto was behind the coaster crash and is planning a subway crash next since the coaster didn't kill enough people.

Elijah makes a device that will recognize when Otto's bluetooth hone is near. Brody chats with Otto in disguise as the administrator. They are able to find out that the subway crash will take place in Boston in three hours before being booted by the administrator.

In Boston, Ryan alerts everyone that the subways have been shut down, but the Yellow Line is still running and they know that's their train. Elijah and Brody rush to the next stop while Ryan and Daniel try to shut down the train.

Elijah and Brody manage to get to the train after Daniel shuts it down and get a few people off, but Otto regains control and the train runs again. Elijah jumps on and makes his way through the train to the control board. The panel isn't there, so Brody tells him that it is in the board underneath the train. Elijah uses his daughter's bracelet and a wire hanger to pull out the panel. He cruses the bluetooth signal and the train stops.

At the station, Ryan shows up and they find the stashed cell phone with their device. The others run to find Otto, but Ryan uses her skills to see that he never left the station. She finds him and arrests him.

Daniel and Brody have a bonding moment, sort of.

Elijah goes to see his daughter, and she is happy to hear that her bracelet helped save lives and decides to make him another one.

Brody keeps getting calls from his hacker girlfriend but doesn't know how to break it off with her. He leaves with Raven to get some drinks and Daniel picks up his phone and talks to Monique, setting up a date.
