Benedict Cumberbatch is going to play Hamlet in London and tickets are already sold out. However, you can still get a chance to see the performance thanks to National Theatre Live.
The production will be filmed on Oct. 15 and will be screened at 550 U.K. cinemas, as well as cinemas around the world, The Daily Mail revealed.
It’s all part of the NT Live initiative, which gives audiences around the world an opportunity to see theatrical productions, even if they can’t make it to the West End in London or Broadway in New York.
“It’s just a great way of making the play accessible,” Cumberbatch told the Daily Mail.
If you do happen to be in London this fall, there is still a chance to see Hamlet, even though all the pre-sale tickets are sold out. Producer Sonia Friedman said that 100 seats for each performance will be available for £10 each. Just how these tickets will be available has yet to be determined.
The production of William Shakespeare’s play will begin with previews on Aug. 5 at the Barbican Theatre and continues through Oct. 31. Tickets for the NT Live screenings will go on sale on March 16.
Cumberbatch has shown no signs of stopping, even after getting married to Sophie Hunter on Valentine’s Day. Just two days after the wedding, he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. He also has to be in Los Angeles on Sunday, since he’s up for the Best Actor Oscar for his role in The Imitation Game.
Hunter and Cumberbatch are also expecting their first child.
