New Year’s is a time for celebrating, and there’s nothing quite more worthy of celebration than a woman. Considering that it’s the Chinese New Year, it only seems fitting to celebrate some of the most beautiful Chinese women.

These women are not only gorgeous, but are also accomplished actresses. Many of them have also made a name for themselves as models, singers, and some of them have even gone on to write, direct, and produce. This amazing ensemble includes women who are well known in China, but some are also well known internationally. Two of these phenomenal actresses had the pleasure of working with the famous action adventure star, Jackie Chan, or perhaps it was his pleasure to work with them.

Tien Hsin

Tien Hsin is a Taiwanese actress, born in 1975. She has starred in many TV shows, including Marry or Not?, A Good Wife, and Who’s the One? She has also acted in the Taiwan movie Catch, and the more widely distributed movie The Duel.



In the movie The Duel, Tien Hsin plays the role of Jade. Check it out on Amazon.

Bianca Bai

Bianca Bai is not just an actress, she is also a model and a singer. She was born in 1982 in Taipei, Taiwan and has maintained a consistent TV career that includes the 2008 Fated to Love You and the 2011 Skip-Beat! Her more recent roles include the TV series Ru Guo Wo Ai Ni, Extravagant Challenge and You’re My Destiny.

Jing Tian

Born in 1989, Jing Tian is a successful actress from China.

She has an impressive filmography, including the recent From Vegas to Macau. Some of her other roles were from Anaconda Frightened, The Warring States, and Special ID.



She even had the honor of co-starring with Jackie Chan in the action-packed Chinese crime thriller, Police Story 2013.


Jing Tian is also known for her role in the video-game inspired TV series Chinese Paladin 3.

Gao Yuanyuan

Gao Yuanyuan was born in 1979 and got her start in commercials, most notably one for mints that aired during the 2000 Olympics.

As she moved into the world of Television, she gained notoriety for her roles as Zhou Zhiruo in The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber, Ruoxi in Qin Wang Li Shimin, Liusheng Piaoxu in Tianxia Diyi, Bai Xue in The Qin Empire, and Li Qiushui's sister in The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils.

About the same time she began her Television career, she also began acting in full length movies, including Shanghai Dreams, City of Life and Death, Driverless, Don’t Go Breaking My Heart and its sequel, Romancing in Thin Air, Caught in the Web, and The Blind Detective.

Along with Jing Tian, Gao Yuanyuan also has the honor of working with Jackie Chan. She portrayed Melody in his 2006 Rob-B-Hood. One of her most recent roles is from the film But Always. The trailer clip is included here:

Xu Jinglei

A graduate from Beijing Film Academy, Xu Jinglei is both an actress and a director.





She has an extensive list of projects, including acting in over two dozen films.

She wrote, directed, and starred in My Father and I, Letter From an Unknown Woman, Dreams May Come, and

She also directed and starred in better known Dear Enemy and the upcoming Somewhere Only We Know.

Liu Yifei

Liu Yifei, also known by the English name Crystal Liu, was born in 1987. She is an actress, model and singer. She has published two albums, one self-titled Liu Yifei, and one titled All My Words. She maintained a successful Television career from 2003 – 2006, and then moved on to film. Her filmography includes The Forbidden Kingdom, The Assassins, Outcast, and For Love or Money.

Zhang Yuqi

Zhang Yuqi was born in 1986, and landed her first major role in the 2007 film CJ7. Also known as Kitty Zhang, this actress has also starred in Shaolin Girl, All About Women, Jump, Here Comes Fortune, and The Butcher, the Chef and the Swordsman.

Zhang Ziyi
Zhang Ziyi, born in 1979, has an extensive filmography, and just as extensive a list of nominations and awards.

Her career began in 1996 with Touching Starlight, but took off with her second film The Road Home, for which she won a best actress award. She went on to win the Chicago Film Critics Association award for Most Promising Actress, Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female, Toronto Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actress, Golden Bauhinia Award for Best Supporting Actress, an MTV Movie Award for Best Fight, and a Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in an International Film for her third movie, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Zhang Ziyi is also known for her roles in Rush Hour 2, House of Flying Daggers, Memoirs of a Geisha, and her multi-award winning performance in The Grandmaster.

Fan Bingbing

Fan Bingbing is an actress and a singer. Her songs are featured as the theme songs in various productions, a few of which are her own television shows. In television, her career spans a decade, and includes acting, singing, and producing. In film, she has an impressive list of films that includes Cell Phone, , Flash Point, Crossed Lines, Desires of the Heart, Iron Man 3 (the mainland Chinese version), and X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Born in 1987, Zhang Xin Yu is an actress, model, and singer. Her acting includes both television and film. Xin Yu’s television career includes the 2015 series The Empress of China, The Deer and the Cauldron, and The Romance of the Condor Heroes. Her filmography includes If You Are the One 2, Chase Our Love, Summer Love, No Liar, No Cry, Starts Good Ends Good and The Unfortunate Car.
