5. Yellow – from Parachutes
This was probably the first big hit that Coldplay had. In 2001, this song was nominated for a Grammy although it did not win. The music video shows Martin walking on a beach at night. The blending of darkness and hope, rock and gentle music shows how Coldplay already had its own style.
