The members of Coldplay are used to this preparation. In 2001, this British band won its first Grammy. According to the Grammy’s website, this award was for Parachutes in the Best Alternative Music Album category. Covering the past 14 years, Coldplay continued to be nominated and win seven Grammys.
A mixture of rock and pop, this band has continued to grow in popularity and uniqueness over the years instead of fade into the past. However, the ending of this group’s music might be coming soon. The band’s lead vocalist Chris Martin told Billboard that the seventh album they are working on will be the last: “It's our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it's like the last Harry Potter book or something like that… I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing. Otherwise we wouldn't put everything into it."
Perhaps this potential conclusion might make these 57th Grammys even more important to Coldplay. Currently, the band is nominated for Ghost Stories as Best Pop Vocal Album, Ghost Stories as Best Music Film and “A Sky Full of Stars” for Best Pop Dou/Group Performance.
