The CW plans 'Arrow'/'The Flash' spin-off with Brandon Routh, Wentworth Miller

The CW is planning on a new spin-off from the Arrow and The Flash universe.

While there were rumors about a solo show for The Atom, it turns out that the new series will be big mash-up with recurring Arrow/Flash characters.

News of the potential new series was first reported by Deadline, which notes that the project remains untitled. However, it would star Brandon Routh Wentworth Miller, Victor Garber and Caity Lotz. The team behind Arrow - Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim - will be producing.

Back in January, there were reports that Routh was being considered for a solo series featuring his Ray Palmer/Atom character. But the new series will be expanded to include Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Miller) and Dr. Martin Stein (Garber). It’s not clear who Lotz will play, since her Sara Lance character was recently killed off.

The project is in the very early stages and Deadline reports that it will include DC Comics characters who have never been on TV before.

Should the series end up debuting this fall, it will be Berlanti’s second new DC Comics series. He’s also working on Supergirl at CBS.
