PETA is very unhappy about the fur coats Chris Brown and girlfriend Karrueche Tran wore while sitting in the front row at Michael Costello’s runway show during New York Fashion Week on Tuesday.
“There are few things more out of touch than draping yourself in the skins of animals who were beaten, electrocuted, and even skinned alive for their fur,” the statement from PETA read.
PETA then continued to bash Brown, 25, by bringing up his violent past.
“Pink’s New York Fashion Week PETA billboard shows that true beauty comes from kindness — Chris Brown’s furs are just more of the same from him: ugly violence,” the statement continued.
The campaign of Pink that PETA is referring to is a billboard in which the singer appears naked encouraging everyone to “be comfortable in your own skin, and let animals keep theirs,” Gossip Cop reports.
Neither Brown nor Tran have responded to PETA’s statement, Celebuzz notes.
