After five years of speculation and anticipation, world-renowned boxers Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao have finally come to terms to face each other.
Rolling Stone reports that Mayweather announced the deal by posting a picture of the signed contract online. The fight finally comes after both sides had disagreements over the years about money distribution and testing for performance-enhancing drugs. The fight will unify the welterweight titles held by each boxer.
"Giving the fans what they want to see is always my main focus. This will be the biggest event in the history of the sport," Mayweather said in a statement.
According to MSN, the two fighters are expected to bring in a huge amount of money for the highly anticipated bout. Mayweather could earn at least $120 million while Pacquiao would gain around $80 million.
Mayweather is 47-0 in his career with 26 knockouts while Pacquiao enters the fight with a 57-5-2 record and 38 knockouts. The fight will take place on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
