Danish police said Friday that they arrested another alleged accomplice linked to the shootings earlier this month at a free-speech event held in Denmark’s capital city.
The AFP reported that authorities apprehended the third suspect and charged him with “complicity in the perpetrator's actions."
His preliminary hearing is set to take place on Saturday.
As previously reported, two other men were arrested shortly after the attacks two weeks ago. They are accused of aiding Omar El-Hussein, who was later killed by police, in coordinating the shootings.
Each of the suspects are said to have lived near one another.
Hussein was released from prison just a couple of weeks before the attack. He killed movie director Finn Norgaard at the free-speech event and a volunteer guard Dan Uzan at a synagogue. Five police officers were also wounded.
The shootings drew comparisons for officials to the attacks in and around Paris last month, because Swedish artist Lars Vilks, who has drawn pictures of the Prophet Mohammad, attended the event.
