CBS sets return dates for Halle Berry's 'Extant,' 'Under The Dome,' 'Big Brother'

With most of the country trying to make it through bitter cold temperatures, you can’t blame CBS executives for already thinking about the summer. The network announced its slate of original summer programming, which is great news for fans of Big Brother and Under The Dome.

Big Brother will return for yet another season on Wednesday, June 24 at 8 p.m. Another episode of the Julie Chen-hosted reality series will air the following night, Thursday, June 25, at 8 p.m. The first Sunday episode will air on June 28 at 8 p.m. The in-week episodes will air on Thursdays, beginning on July 2 at 9 p.m.

Under The Dome, based on Stephen King’s novel, will be back for a third season. That means that Chester’s Mill is still stuck under a clear dome. The show is moving to Thursdays, starting on June 25. The first episode will air at 9 p.m., while it will move to 10 p.m. starting on July 2.

On Tuesday, June 30, Zoo will premiere. Starring James Wolk, the series is based on a James Patterson novel about a young biologist trying to figure out why animals are starting to attack humans everywhere.

Lastly, Extant will start its second season on Wednesday, July 1 at 10 p.m. The series stars Halle Berry as an astronaut who accidentally puts the human race in danger. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is joining the series.
