CBS News foreign correspondent Lara Logan hospitalized

CBS News’ 60 Minutes correspondent, Lara Logan, was reportedly rushed to the hospital on Wednesday due to internal bleeding.

She was also taken to a Washington DC-area hospital for digestive disease diverticulitis, where she lives with her husband, Joseph Burkett, and their children.

A spokesperson for CBS News wouldn’t comment on her condition and only told the New York Post, “We wish Lara a very speedy recovery.”

Logan, 43, will reportedly stay in the hospital for a few more days. She was promoted to full-time in 2012 after reporting on several major stories as a foreign correspondent, including reporting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Earlier this month, the 60 Minutes family suffered the tragedy of losing veteran correspondent Bob Simon at the age of 73.

Simon was killed in a car crash while in New York City.
