"Who are you wearing?"
It's the most ubiquitous question asked on the red carpet of countless awards shows, but a new social media trend aims to take celebrity coverage beyond the dress.
#AskHerMore, started by the organization The Representation Project and given some celebrity backing by Amy Poehler, attempts to counter the glam- and clutch-cams popularized by entertainment journalists and instead focus on the talent, which men often get asked about more than women.
With the Oscars red carpet on Sunday, a number of celebrities took to social media to spread awareness of the hashtag. Reese Witherspoon and Lena Dunham led the charge, with Witherspoon posting photos advocating for more thorough red-carpet reporting.
