Former chief of Sony Pictures Amy Pascal spoke in an interview about her departure from the position.
Business Insider reports that in an interview at the Women in the World conference Pascal talked openly about the scandal involving the company's leaked emails. Although the initial report was that Pascal decided to transition to working as a producer for Sony, Pascal said she was basically fired.
“All the women here are doing incredible things in this world. All I did was get fired,” Pascal told moderator Tina Brown. “Everyone knows everything about me. What am I doing here?”
According to Variety, Pascal also spoke about the reaction that the public and celebrities had toward the emails. She said the racially insensitive emails mentioning President Obama were "horrible" and worried about the number of feelings she had hurt. Pascal added that Angelina Jolie was the most understanding and forgiving.
Pascal's first project as a producer will be the new Spider-Man movie and future Marvel films.
