If you, by chance, have seen Will Forte spotting a huge beard and moppy hair, it was for his next part: as Phil Miller, the last man alive, on Fox's new sitcom Last Man on Earth. Now with its premiere date set the station has released a brand new trailer, showcasing how Phil has now become the world's greatest at everything.
The promo, via Fox, gives audiences its first official look at its pilot, airing March 1, liking replacing one of his Sunday's line-up series (probably Mulaney).
Directed by producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie, 21/22 Jump Street), which — as you would guess, is where the main protagonist gets his name — and written and created by Forte, follows Miller in the year 2022 where, after an unlikely event, he is the last living person on the planet Earth. Once a average man working at the bank, Miller roams the country in his RV, searching for other survivors ... and getting into other activities, as the pilot trailer suggests.
It was also a year ago that the show received a series order, but word has been quiet on the new sitcom since then. It's March premiere was announced back in November, with Forte, Miller, Lord and Seth Cohen executive producing.
This is not the first trailer for the show, as another came six months ago. Though its unclear if any of this footage will make it, or if it was all shot to sell the series to Fox.
