In another attempt to help Once Upon a Time fans survive through the winter hiatus, we will venture on another popular “ship.” Last time we looked at the top ten Hook and Emma (Captain Swan) moments. Another popular “ship” is that of Regina (the Evil Queen) and Robin Hood. They are cleverly known as Outlaw Queen.
Robin Hood is originally introduced in season-2, as stealing a wand from Rumplestiltskin in order to save his pregnant wife from dying, an act that allows Belle to appeal to Rumple’s humanity. Years afterward, Neal goes back to Rumple’s castle searching for a way to find Emma and Henry only to discover that Robin Hood has inhabited his late father’s home. Robin Hood again shows up, but this time in Storybrooke in season-3B when the Charmings re-enacted the Dark Curse. It was at this time that we find out that Robin Hood is the mysterious man with the lion tattoo. That was important, because it was prophesized to Regina that her true love (after Daniel) was the man with the line tattoo. Needless to say, they hit it off.
There is quite a bit of controversy over their relationship in season-4 though, due to the fact that in the season 3 finale, Emma brings Marian back to Storybrooke. If you missed it, Emma and Hook get swept back in time and mess things up just a wee bit, namely save Marian from execution. Obviously, bringing Marian into the picture complicates things for Robin Hood. He has found his new true love, but is reunited with his “dead” wife. He is torn by his heart’s desire and his code of honor.
This is a top ten list of Regina and Robin Hood moments spanning their relationship, though not in chronological order.
