Eminem makes terminally ill 17-year-old fan's wish come true, visits him at Michigan home

Eminem visited a terminally ill fan who has been given days to live by doctors. The rapper spent time with him at his Rochester, Michigan home.

Gage Garmo, 17, received the visit on Sunday, where the duo talked about topics such as football and of course, music.

Ingrid Todt from Rainbow Connection, the charity that arranged the visit, told Detroit Free Press, "Gage sat up with a grin on his face. His family hadn't seen their son do that in such a long time."

Garmo’s friends and family had been spreading the word about his wish to meet with Eminem on social media, and the request eventually got to him.

Executive director of Michigan’s Rainbow Connection, Mary Grace McCarter, said, "We're so glad we were able to reach Eminem's people and they were able to respond, and Eminem was able on such short notice to go and see this boy in his own home. It says something about everybody, really. I hope all the students and friends of Gage feel good about their well-wishes too."

Garmo’s parents and younger sister were also there for the visit, which Todt said was “one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.”

Eminem’s labelmate, da 5'9'', was also there and gushed about the visit on Twitter. "Mission accomplished. God Bless this beautiful kid and thank you guys for all your hard work..."

Since the visit, Garmoo has passed away and Royce paid tribute to him. “R.I.P. Gage Glad we got to see him..”

Garmo was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2008. After undergoing several procedures, doctors concluded he only had days to live just last week.
