Taylor Negron, an actor and comedian who may be best remembered for his role as the pizza guy in Fast Times At Ridgemont High passed away Saturday at the age of 57 after battling cancer. His cousin, Chuck Negron, who was in a band called Three Dog Night, announced the news.
CNN reported that after the actor’s death, a video message made by his cousin said “His mother, his brother Alex, and my brother’s wife…were all there with him. May he rest in peace.”
Born on Aug. 1, 1957 in Glendale, California, Negron studied acting with talents such as Lee Stratsberg and Lucille Ball, according to a biography on the late star’s website. Negron appeared in many movies such as The Last Boy Scout, Angels in the Outfield, Retirement and Stuart Little.
On television, Negron appeared in So Little Time, ER, Friends and Seinfeld and had a regular role in the show Hope and Gloria.
Along with acting and being a standup comedian, Negron also did performances of his own original work, including The Unbearable Lightness of Being Taylor Negron- A Fusion of Story and Song.
Fox News reported this particular performance premiered at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival after he wrote it in 208. It also appeared in a 2009 festival called Best of New York Solo.
