Singer Justin Timberlake and actress Kerry Washington are celebrating their birthdays today, January 31.
Justin Timberlake, 34
Singer, songwriter and actor turns 34 today. Timberlake started his career on Star Search and The Mickey Mouse Club. Timberlake gained fame as 1/5 of NSYNC, one of the most successful boy bands of all time.
After a hiatus in the group, Timberlake launched his solo career in 2002 after releasing his debut solo album, Justified. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and earned him two Grammy awards, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Cry Me A River." Timberlake performed with Janet Jackson at Superbowl XXXVIII.
Timberlake released his second album, Future Sex/Love Sounds in 2006. It debuted at No. 1 and earned Timberlake two more Grammy wins for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "What Goes Around... Comes Around" and Best Dance Recording for "LoveStoned/I Think She Knows."
In March 2013, Timberlake released his third album, The 20/20 Experience, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2 was released in September of that year, also debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Timberlake has also embarked on a film career, appearing in the films Alpha Dog, Black Snake Moan, Shrek the Third, Yogi Bear, In Time, Trouble with the Curve, Bad Teacher and Runner Runner.
Timberlake married actress Jessica Biel in 2012.

Kerry Washington, 38
Actress Kerry Washington turns 38 today. Washington made her acting debut in the ABC television film Magical Make-Over in 1994. She went on to star in Save the Last Dance, The Human Stain and Bad Company.
Washington had a starring role in the 2004 Spike Lee film, She Hate Me. She went on to appear in Mr. & Mrs. Smith and The Last King of Scotland. She made her Broadway debut in Race in 2010.
Washington starred in the Quentin Tarantino film Django Unchained in 2012. She ranked No. 2 in People magazine's 100 Most Beautiful of 2013. Washington hosted Saturday Night Live.
Washington currently plays Olivia Pope in the ABC drama series Scandal. She won an NAACP award for her role and earned nominations for two Emmy awards, a Screen Actors Guild award and a Golden Globe award. She is married to NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha. They have a daughter named Isabelle Amarachi.
