Celebrity Birthdays, January 29: Oprah Winfrey, Adam Lambert and Sara Gilbert

Media mogul Oprah Winfrey, singer Adam Lambert and actress Sara Gilbert are all celebrating their birthdays today, January 29.

Oprah Winfrey, 61

Talk show host, actress and producer Oprah Winfrey turns 61 today. Winfrey worked in radio in high school and as a television anchor at age 19. She later rose to fame with her award winning talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show which ran from 1986 to 2011. She's interviewed numerous celebrities including the late Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Tom Cruise, Elizabeth Taylor, Sara Palin and many more.

Winfrey has also served as an actor with roles in The Color Purple (receiving an Academy Award nomination), Beloved (starred and produced), The Butler (receiving a SAG nomination) and most recently Selma (starred and executive producer). Winfrey also founded Harpo Productions in 1986 and have produced the films Beloved, The Great Debaters, Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire and Selma.

Winfrey also has two magazines; O, The Oprah Magazine and O at Home. Winfrey also started the OWN network with Harpo Productions and Discovery Network. OWN replaced the Discovery Health channel and features shows like Raising Whitley, Iyanla: Fix My Life, Oprah's Life Class and Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots and Love Thy Neighbor.

Since 1986, Winfrey has been in a relationship with educator, author and businessman Stedman Graham.

Adam Lambert, 33

Singer, songwriter and theater actor Adam Lambert turns 33 today. Lambert's music career began on stage, performing in a few theater productions. He rose to fame after appearing inn Season 8 of American Idol, coming in second place.

After American Idol, Lambert released his debut album, For Your Entertainment, in 2009. The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and was well received by critics. For promotions, Lambert performed on the Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show Starring Conan O'Brien, So You Think You Can Dance, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The View and The Oprah Winfrey Show. He also embarked on the Glam Nation international tour.

Lambert released Trespassing, his second studio album, in 2012. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and Lambert served as an executive producer. The album also made the No. 9 spot on iTunes' "Best Pop Albums of 2012.

Lambert performed with the members of Queen for the Queen + Adam Lambert 2012 European Concert Tour and is currently on the Queen + Adam Lambert Tour 2014-2015, with its last show on February 27, 2015.

Lambert signed with Warner Bros. Records and is currently working on his third studio album, The Original High.

Sara Gilbert, 40

Film and television actress and talk show host Sara Gilbert turns 40 today. Gilbert gained fame at age 13 with her role as Darlene Connor in the television series Roseanne for nine years. Throughout the last few seasons of the show, Gilbert attended Yale University where she graduated with Honors in 1997.

Gilbert made appearances on the shows The Simpsons, 24, Will & Grace, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Private Practice and ER. From 2007 to 2010, she had a recurring role on The Big Bang Theory. She played Leslie Winkle, an on again-off again romantic interest of Leonard (played by her Roseanne co-star Johnny Galecki).

Gilbert starred in the films Poison Ivy, Riding in Cars with Boys, Light It Up and High Fidelity. She is currently a host on The Talk alongside Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood.

Gilbert has two children from her previous relationship with TV producer Allison Adler and is currently expecting her third child with wife, Linda Perry.
