Sony faced more potential leaks after the massive hacking scandal, especially with their new 007 film.
An e-mail containing a screenplay draft of the upcoming film Spectre was leaked, according to Entertainment Weekly. Other e-mails that were stolen during the hack also had revealed that executives of film studios weren’t satisfied with the original draft’s finale.
Eon Productions wrote on Saturday on the 007 website that they had found out about the stolen early draft that morning, including its public release. They said that they were “concerned that third parties who have received this stolen screenplay may seek to publish it or its contents.”
E-mails leaked were by the president of the film sector of MGM Jonathan Glickman and the production co-president of Columbia Hannah Minghella, EW reported, as well as a producer from Sony named Elizabeth Cantillon. One issue revealed by their e-mail conversations about the early draft involved their concern over the film not having a good resolution or a surprise plot point.
The Celebrity Café reported on details involving the Sony hack, including e-mails regarding having David Fincher direct their film about Steve Jobs and a crossover between the Jump Street and Men In Black films.
