Comedian JB Smoove and actor Theo James are celebrating their birthdays today, December 16.

Stand-Up comedian, actor and writer JB Smoove turns 48 today. Born Jerry Angelo Brooks, Smoove has had recurring roles on Everybody Hates Chris and Saturday Night Live, for which he worked as a writer and appeared in a few sketches. For his work on SNL, Smoove won the 2007 Writers Guild of America award for Best Comedy/Variety Series.
Smoove appeared in numerous films including Pootie Tang, Mr. Deeds, Date Night, Hall Pass, The Sitter, We Bought a Zoo, The Dictator and A Haunted House. He had a major role for seasons two and three on the Fox sitcom 'Til Death. Smoove was also a cast member on the short-lived sketch comedy program Cedric the Entertainer Presents.
In 2011, Smoove appeared on an episode of The Simpsons titled "Angry Dad: The Movie." That same year, he starred in and episode of American Dad and an episode of Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil. Smoove had a recurring role on the HBO comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm playing Leon Black.
In 2013, Smoove voiced Hackus in The Smurfs 2. That same year, Smoove also became a regular cast member on the CBS comedy The Millers.
In 2014, Smoove was the host of the reality series Last Comic Standing on NBC.

ctor and musician Theo James turns 30 today. James made his television debut in A Passionate Woman. He went on to play Turkish diplomat Kemal Pamuk in an episode of the first season of Downton Abbey. James transitioned into film, starring in You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, The Domino Effect and The Inbetweeners Movie. In 2012, James played the character of David in Underworld: Awakening, opposite Kate Beckinsale.
James played Tobias "Four" Eaton in the film adaptation of Veronica Roth's best-selling novel, Divergent. Among his upcoming film projects, he will star alongside Amber Heard, Billy Bob Thornton and Jim Sturgess in the film adaptation of London Fields, and in the indie drama Franny alongside Richard Gere and Dakota Fanning.
James will also reprise his role as Tobias in the next two Divergent films, Insurgent in March 2015, and Allegiant in March 2016. Shailene Woodley will reprise her role as Beatrice "Tris" Prior, the main character and James' love interest in the films.
