U2's frontman Bono was injured in a biking accident in Central Park Sunday and now requires surgery on his arm, members of the band The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. announced.
The band members took to its' website to report the news, saying it was "one man down."
"It looks like we will have to do our Tonight Show residency another time," The statement said.
According to Daily News, U2 was supposed to be featured on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon starting Monday as the show's house band in promotion of their newest album Songs of Innocence for the week.
"We're sure he'll make a full recovery soon, so we'll be back!" The band wrote. "Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding.
As of Sunday night, the details of Bono's injury have not been released.
This was not the first bad luck Bono has had recently. On a Wednesday flight, we reported that the jet Bono was on had its' door fall off mid-flight. Bono, who was flying to Germany to receive a Bambi Award, and all involved were not injured, but two pieces of luggage ended up missing.
