Witches, monsters, and masked maniacs are only a fraction of the scary that surfaces on Halloween night. Oversized spiders are used as wall décor and candles bleed mock blood. For some reason, October 31 is a night accepting of chasing people with chainsaws and actually taking candy from a stranger. C’mon, who created this heinous holiday?
Thankfully, however, the variety of cliché Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Scream outfits aren’t the only costumes lurking in the depths of the dark Halloween night. Strutting down the street, we see cowboys and ballerinas, clowns and princesses and the ongoing line-up of superheroes who fly to the “just take one” candy container; children are the cutest part of Halloween, and they truly help to cancel out the creepy.
