'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' trailer remade with Legos

This past Thanksgiving weekend had a lot to offer us. Not only did we enjoy food, family and shopping, we also got our first sneak at the first trailer for the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Fans of the Star Wars universe, young and old, rejoiced nation and world-wide. The trailer has already received millions of views on Youtube, and just about every entertainment website and media platform were buzzing with excitement over the trailer’s release.

Naturally when something like this happens, super fans come out and show off how creative and passionate they can be when it comes to one of their favorite movie franchises. One such fan, Youtube user Snooperking, took the time and patience to create an amazing remake of the trailer entirely out of Legos. Every detail from the new trailer including all of the Storm Troopers, the sets and even the new lightsaber were perfect.

In the description for his video Snooperking said, “...filming took forever especially the the special effects... i tried stop motion in front of the green screen and that was hard and by this time it was 3am so like more than 12 hours (i took a 3 hour break somewhere) and then finally gave up and used sewing string for the X-Wing and just kind of moved my camera around the falcon.”

Although Snooperking is an experienced Lego photo and video enthusiast, this trailer is exceptionally impressive because of the amount of time between the actual trailer’s release and then his own upload. He put built the legos, shot the film frame by frame and then edited the film in about 24 hours.

There will surely be more remakes and fan made videos for the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, this Lego tribute certainly is a hard one to follow. With well over a hundred thousand views, Snooperking’s video will only grow with popularity in the upcoming days.
