Henry Cavill to star in first movie from his own production company

Henry Cavill is set to star in a new action movie called Stratton.

Stratton is based off a series of eight novels written by Duncan Falconer that follow the story of the best Special Boat Service operative, John Stratton, as he tries to save the United Kingdom from deadly forces.

Falconer happens to be a pseudonym the author uses to protect his identity considering he actually worked as a Special Boat Service commando in real life and used his experiences as a framework for his novels.

Stratton will be produced by Cavill's new production company, Promethean Productions, which he recently founded with his brother.

“Having the opportunity to expand my horizons into filmmaking is incredibly exciting,” Henry Cavill said according to Deadline. “Getting to work so closely with my brother in this venture is equally so.”

Cavill can next be seen reprising his role as The Man of Steel in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice alongside Ben Affleck which is set to be released March 25, 2016.
