Melanie returned to Salem. Chad was named Co-CEO of DiMera Enterprises. Clyde began seeing Marlena for therapy. News of Abigail being reinstated at the hospital traveled to Theresa and Anne. Jordan tried to get answers about the past. Adrienne and Victor voiced their opinions about Sonny and Will being apart. Lucas called Adrienne out. Hope was stunned by an Internet search. Daniel and Nicole cemented a new friendship.
As Eve instructed, JJ attempted to break things off with Paige. She asked if he didn’t love her anymore. He couldn’t be dishonest with her, leading Paige to believe they could work through their problems. Eve received a visit from Theresa as they shared their bad news with each other; Eve wouldn’t be able to sing again, and Theresa wasn’t pregnant. They nearly had a bonding experience, but became catty once again when Theresa took her older sister’s advice the wrong way.
Jordan received a sweet gift from Chad; old soup cans attached to string for old-fashioned communication. On her way to the club to personally thank him, she ran into Ben, who wasn’t shy to admit his feelings about not trusting Chad. Clyde arrived and contradicted his son by voicing she and Chad would be a perfect match. When the two of them were alone, Clyde continued to mess with Jordan’s head about the past. She had enough and called Marlena, ready to get help. However, she lost her nerve and didn’t leave a message.
Chad got a call from Stefano, who informed him he was ready to move forward with his big move against Kate. The young DiMera went behind his father’s back and informed Kate of the message. Chad walked in on a passionate moment between Kate and Clyde in the DiMera study. Once the partners in crime were alone, Chad told Kate of Stefano’s plans to get her ousted from the company. Kate was pleased; she knew how to permanently get rid of him. Chad burst her bubble by giving her a mysterious document.
Brady and Victor spoke of Theresa’s latest stunt to get his attention. Victor was relieved Theresa wasn’t pregnant with his grandson’s child as they continued to bond over the experience.
Nicole attempted to cheer Daniel up by suggesting they do yoga together. He wasn’t really into it, so they headed to the park to play catch with a football. Nicole had terrible aim, so in frustration, she threw the football, causing it to hit a tree and ricochet to Daniel’s head, who was knocked unconscious.
Kate was furious to discover Chad threatening her with telling Stefano about their partnership unless she made him Co-CEO of his family’s business. She eventually conceded and vaguely told Lucas she didn’t have as much control as when Sami was her partner.
Marlena questioned Jordan about her voice message, and Jordan was quick to dismiss it as nothing. Marlena gently informed Jordan she was available to speak in confidence. Clyde overheard and considered speaking with Marlena himself. Chad walked Jordan home from work, and they shared a passionate goodnight kiss.
Paul was introduced to Marlena, who offered her services to the young athlete. His mood brightened when he was alone with the newly-hired Abigail. Anne was outraged when Jordan told her the news of Abigail being reinstated at the hospital. She interrupted Abigail and Paul and implied she slept with Chad to get her job back. Abigail got Anne alone and threatened to go to her boss about all the trouble she’s caused. Later, Abigail visited Ben at his apartment, and they became intimate.
Sonny snapped at Ben over his frustration about the south side club when the latter voiced he didn’t want to make the time commitment required to work there. Lucas and Adrienne got reacquainted after his trip to California to see Sami and the kids. Things were tense when he found himself defending Will being so busy at the studio as he didn’t have time for anything or anyone. Sonny let his mother have it when he pointed out Justin was out of town doing the same thing. She was hit by the accusation as she was forced to admit things weren’t great between her and her husband.
Nicole was horrified when he accidentally hit Daniel with the football. Things got worse when they went back to his apartment, and she accidentally spilled scalding water on him. Daniel insisted she was trying way too hard to be his friend, and Nicole admitted it was only because of how much he meant to her. They shared a close moment but resisted temptation when they were about to kiss.
Eve told Theresa about Victor informing their father about the pregnancy scare. Theresa swore she truly thought she was pregnant and was more determined than ever to move on from Brady. At the hospital, Theresa learned Abigail was reinstated and all-star baseball pitcher, Paul Narita was a patient. Theresa visited and flirted with him in an effort to get over Brady. She noticed Brady was at the hospital, and the look on her face said otherwise.
Dr. Mandrake ordered a thug to follow Theresa around town and get information on her.
Brady made amends with Maggie regarding his behavior when he and Theresa were together. However, he still felt lost about what to do with his life now that her lies were exposed. Eve paid him a visit at the mansion in a subtle effort to make sure no one had any idea she knew about Theresa attacking John. She also wanted to make sure her sister was off the hook for the pregnancy scare. Eve couldn’t help but flirt with Brady as he asked her to try to convince Theresa they were over.

Hope and Aiden had breakfast with their kids in an effort to unite their families. Ciara and Chase showed their support for their parents’ relationship. Later, Hope borrowed Aiden’s tablet and was shocked to discover a search on her net worth.
Ben and Abigail shared a morning of romance after she spent the night at his place. Ben later went to work, where Clyde intentionally revealed he was going to Marlena for therapy. This led to Ben realizing his father was serious about changing his behavior.
Clyde met with Marlena earlier with the hope she would take him on as a patient. After her professional services were rebuffed by Paul, she decided to accommodate Clyde into her schedule of patients.
Hope was upset when she was under the impression Aiden did an Internet search on her fortune. After a brief distraction with Caroline, Hope confronted him. Aiden realized what happened; he and Chase switched tablets. He apologized for his son, and Hope apologized for thinking the worst of him. Aiden insisted her money wasn’t important to him, and they left on good terms. In private, Aiden warned Chase not to tell anyone his mother was rich.
Theresa lashed out at Brady for telling Victor about her pregnancy scare and showing up at her work after insisting on going their separate ways. Brady informed her he was on the hospital board, and he hoped he wouldn’t see her. She slipped she was moving on with someone new. She went back to Paul’s room to flirt some more, but she still thought of Brady.
JJ confided in Abigail about taking a break from Paige, but couldn’t tell her the real reason why. Paige got more upset when Eve encouraged her to accept JJ’s request to take a break. She refused and later confided in Daphne about her mother. Eve once again drilled into JJ that he needed to break up with her daughter. While they argued, Jennifer returned home and wondered what they were talking about.
T overheard Chad was going to be the new Co-CEO of DiMera Enterprises. Chad warned him to keep the information to himself. Stefano called and revealed he knew what Chad was up to. Chad defended himself only to discover his father was proud of him, and not angry. Meanwhile, Abigail opened up to Maggie about Chad having a dark side.
Eve covered with Jennifer by confessing a half-truth; Paige learned about Jack raping Kayla, and it caused problems for her and JJ. Eve left, and Jennifer comforted her son, who was visibly shaken by what happened. Paige insisted to Daphne that Eve was a good mother to her. When she got home, she stubbornly told her mother she wouldn’t give up on JJ.
Eric told Marlena he was moving to a new apartment. She wondered if he was finally over Nicole, and he said he may never be over her, but their relationship was finished. Nicole ran into him and found out he was moving, but he didn’t tell her where. After Daniel spoke with Maggie about Jennifer’s return, he met Nicole for more physical activities in the park. While playing ball, they had a little too much fun and wound up in a compromising position.
Maggie received a pleasant surprise when Melanie unexpectedly showed up at the Kiriakis mansion.
Chad told Jordan he was the new Co-CEO of DiMera Enterprises. She wondered how he would handle working with Kate, and he assured her he could handle her. Marlena later overheard Jordan levying a congratulatory message Chad, and they conversed about the DiMera family. Meanwhile, Victor expressed concern for Sonny when he noted how long he and Will had been apart. He warned his nephew about his business partner, Chad, who was a DiMera after all. Sonny confronted Chad in the DiMera study about him being the new Co-CEO of DiMera Enterprises. He was not pleased at the drastic move.
