Actors Don Cheadle and Howie Mandel are celebrating their birthdays today, November 29.
Don Cheadle, 50
Actor, producer and author Don Cheadle turns 50 today. Cheadle gained worldwide attention after playing Mouse Alexander in the film Devil in a Blue Dress. For his role he won Best Supporting Actor awards from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association and the National Society of Film Critics and was nominated for Screen Actors Guild and the NAACP Image Awards. He went on to star in Boogie Nights, Traffic, Rush Hour 2, Swordfish, Hotel Rwanda, the Iron Man sequels and the Ocean's series.
Cheadle starred in and was one of the producers of Crash, winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2005. For his performance, Cheadle earned Best Supporting Actor nominations for a BAFTA and Screen Actors Guild Award.
In 2007 Cheadle published Not on Our Watch: The Mission to End Genocide in Darfur and Beyond, a book he co-authored with John Prendergast. In 2010, Cheadle was appointed U.N. Environment Program Goodwill Ambassador. He and Prendergast published their second book, The Enough Moment: Fighting to End Africa's Worst Human Rights Crimes, that same year.
Cheadle has two children with his long time partner Bridgid Coulter. He currently stars on the Showtime series, House of Lies, receiving the Golden Globe as Best Actor in a Comedy Series in 2013 for the role.
Howie Mandel, 59

Comedian, actor, television host and voice actor Howie Mandel turns 59 today. Mandel gained success after his six-year run on St. Elsewhere. He continued acting while also doing comedy. He went on to star in Gremlins and its sequel, A Fine Mess, Walk Like a Man, Little Monsters and the animated television series Muppet Babies.
Mandel created and was executive producer of the Emmy Award nominated animated series Bobby's World. He voiced the role of Bobby and his father. The show ran on FOX from 1990 to 1998.
Mandel became the host of NBC's Deal or No Deal in 2005. He later went on to host Deal or No Deal Canada. In 2010, Mandel replaced David Hasselhoff as a judge on America's Got talent.
Mandel married his high school sweetheart, Terry, in 1980. They have three children as well as his two adopted nephews. Mandel will continue his role as a Judge on America's Got Talent and is the executive producer of the TBS hidden camera series Deal with It.
