Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush are on completely opposite sides of the political spectrum, but since both don’t have to worry about governing any longer, they can be buddies. They showed signs that the two are friends with social media jabs at each other.
Clinton tweeted a picture of himself reading a copy of 41, Bush’s new book about Clinton’s predecessor and his father, President George H.W. Bush. “Received my copy of #41 by #43, George W. Bush. Touching tribute,” Clinton wrote, adding the hashtag “#HowAreYouSTILLNotOnTwitter.”
Since he still wouldn’t join Twitter, Bush instead responded on Instagram, notes the Los Angeles Times. “Thanks, 42! Hope you like the book about your pal, #41,” Bush wrote.
Then, 43 added, “#HowAreYouSTILLNotOnInstagram” and “#BrotherFromAnotherMother.”
Bush has been busy promoting the new book, although he made headlines earlier this week for what he said about his brother. He told Face the Nation that Jeb Bush was still “50-50” when it comes to running for President in 2016.
Bush probably knows that joining Twitter would be a bad idea, considering what’s happened to celebrities recently.
